  • In this episode, Rob chats to Fraser Nelson, editor of the spectator. He talks about how liberalism is on the decline with the the Conservative Party. This situation prompts a broader question: are the challenges within the Tories indicative of a common issue among center-right parties in the Anglosphere? At the core is a philosophical divide between small-l liberal Remainers and conservative Brexiteers.

How can we say that Brexit is a success because it's got rid of populism in the UK, when it looks like Reform UK is likely to take a large share of votes from the Conservative Party?
And also the economic impact of Brexit has been rough, I saw an LSE article attributing 3% per year of our recently very high food price inflation to be caused by Brexit

No populists! What apart from the actual government. Brexit a success..... sure it is. He's not a liberal he's a populist himself, proposing simple solutions to complex problems.
