Fresh Prince has ALWAYS been one of my favorite shows-even if it did end two months before I was born & I grew up on it’s reruns; I didn’t grow up in any part of Philadelphia, I grew up in south Jersey-but that fact never stopped me from falling in love with & being inspired by Smith & Fresh Prince. I will always love this show, the messages it send and all the funny characters, because even to this day: the messages in the episodes still hold up and it in itself is still extremely funny. So I raise a glass, give a round of applause-a standing ovation to the cast and crew of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for the serious messages, the laughter, the tears, & dreams it gave me-I may not be African American, but I am proud to live in the same country as them & have inspiring role models like Will Smith. So I say: THANK YOU ALL: the crew workers from: lights, sound, cameras, writers etc.-without you all there would’ve been no show to begin with. THANK YOU ALL: ensemble & minor-reoccurring-cast members-without you all the stage would have been extremely lacking.

When I saw that mural, I was on the Am Trak railing in from Lancaster. I welled up tears of joy. I was so happy to see the man I grew up mimicking have an impactful image painted of him on such a great city.
