    I have both and they're excellent. I grab for Vista in more epic forceful situations and it works well. It can definitely cut through a robust track so it's not just a romantic type choice at all. It's the best choice for epic tracks. I'm working heavily with pacific ensemble as I'm finishing up a mockup of jurassic park and for that symphonic large sound it's the better choice. Either one will work best for certain tracks and interestingly, only one or the other will be the right one. They're that different. I'll let you know when my mockup is done with pacific. Thanks, Chris.

    Thank you, Mr. Siu!! I have a lot of string libraries and 'Vista' has a sound/size, I don't have otherwise. 🙂✌🧡

    I'm not crazy about that slight portamento in the legato, which other users have posted of, & it apparently cannot be tweaked out, but the strings otherwise sound great, & one must keep the "Not for Purists" statement in mind, here!

    Must be considered that Vista patches load with just the tree mic and Pacific with both tree and close mic. This may alter a bit the comparison if not adjusted properly.
    I own an love them both. Cheers!

    When I play Pacific strings Legato in mode...the strings play delay..what should we do....?

    • @dunamisstudio
      @dunamisstudio Před 8 měsíci +1

      From the technical section of Pacific Strings on website:
      "Sample offset varies depending on the type of patch. Non-legato sustains (trills, sordinos, tremolos, etc) are 80 ms. This is the same as many older Performance Samples libraries (Oceania I & II, Caspian, etc) and thus far is a standard offset I use for non-legato sustains. Legato sustain patches are 180 ms. The extra delay is to give more nuance to the legatos. The shorts patches have a control to go anywhere between 20 and 100 ms. The harp patches have two available sample offsets: 140 ms and 80 ms."
      So set the track delay to 180ms

      In your DAW, you must set a negative delay of -140ms in the track properties.

      They've got libraries for the other sections yes, but their main focus is usually on string sampling!

      @@ChristopherSiu As of this posting, the other Pacific sections are still being developed towards a complete orchestra. As with the Strings, the extended development time is unexpected, but I'm sure it will be worth it for the end results!
