Hey franck barriac,The main point here (and my job on this channel) is not to compare my version with the original song, but explore the creativity, do something different just like exercise for my playing, enjoying myself. Changing the groove, playing much notes sometimes, just improving my "playability" and trying other ways of doing it. This is my game. =)

You play very well man. I also think you have an extremely good ear for grooves and where you can sit rhythmically. Your tone is fantastic. I hear alot of slap players using too much compression and ending up with a very sharp but hollow tone. You also have great tone. I know the default 'go-to' for slap bass fills is ascending or descending octave slapping, and I think it's over used quite alot. However, I really liked what you did with the little octave runs up and down, it really suited your groove. This was interesting both melodically and rhythmically, understated perfectly in some parts and just overall had great flow to it. I smashed the 'like' button for you. Cheers

Okay Valter, I finally understand why you're so incredible (beyond the work you've put in.) Your thumb on your right hand is double jointed, creating the ability to have a static anchor that allows you to basically play the entire bass without adjustment. You're gifted in more ways than one my friend. Keep putting out the videos, I really appreciate them!
His thumb is unusual and he owns bass guitar, but there is no such thing as 'double jointed'. Sorry to be that person lol.

I think what I like most about your bass playing is that you DO it your way. Thats how I like to play instead of directly copying the artist. I have more fun just messing around and coming up with my own interpretation.
I totally agree with you. I play in a Soul/Funk covers band and its all abouit the feel, not a direct copy of the song. It works very well for us.
