Trump was railroaded by democrats to decide an accountants error is a federal crime.

Jurors were not given a crime to vote on...
just the order that if you feel you want to go after Trump...

Good grief, I'm glad today that I'm a citizen of a third-world country in Africa with too many apparently insurmountable problems to mention, but where we have just established a coalition government after a month of negotiations, and this after the former governing party, who had been used to majorities in elections of 60-70%, has peacefully accepted its decline to 40% of the vote, and where we have previously successfully impeached, removed and convicted a sitting president for felonies. Where our equivalent to the supreme court has also recently impeached and removed a judge from the bench for corruption (OK, he's now been inaugurated as a member of Parliament, but that's one of the consequences of democracy and freedom of speech, I guess... 😊)

It probably wouldn't last very long, either, as Trump actually has few true supporters and even fewer casual ones once they realize what they've done in their lazy ignorance.
In the meantime, there are plenty of other powerful liberal democracies on the planet who previously stood up to international threats without America's involvement.

Canada may be a constitutional monarchy, and King Charles III may be our Head of State, but even HE and all royals in the UK are subject to some laws -- and can be DETHRONED by Parliament if it was thought necessary (and this actually happened, more than once). The delineation between 'official' and 'unofficial' acts in respect to our King and other royals, is very clear. There is no "presumptive" about what is considered immunity for our King and other royals. Look it up. It’s all about saving our democracy!! A Democratic president could reshape the Supreme Court or at least provide balance and restore the Dobbs decision and rule of law putting the president back under the ‘no man is above the law’ principle engrained in our democracy for over two hundred years!

I cannot think of a single 'official act' which is against the law.
Name just one. One official act that a President might potentially perform as President on behalf of the nation, *which is illegal under every other circumstance or if performed by any other person*
Nothing he is on trial for is an official act. He doesn't get immunity.
And even if the act is 'official' *he can still be prosecuted if he has been impeached and removed from office* according to Trump's lawyers.
So the Senate is very important. And not just majority control of the Senate, but *a 2 thirds majority,* to be able to convict and remove an impeached President.
