Performance evaluations are used by organizations as a way to reinforce high performance as well as provide feedback to employees. In this lecture, I'll describe several of the elements in the performance appraisal process and also discuss how the process is prone to politics.

And forced distribution model in perfromance appraisal becoming a big problem ,so what type of model can the company can follow ......?

do u think feedback can be possible in PMS since there is a problem of achilles(low performance of subordinates that leads the superior not to give feedback ) so without feedback can the employees develop thier skills .pls comment on this .
Well feedback is important to employee skill development. Typically low employee performance affects the manager, so there can be an incentive to provide feedback. Otherwise the manager may receive low performance reviews themselves as they are responsible for employee performance. Hope this helps.
