#46 - Torah Parashah Eikev (Cause & Effect "as a result)

  • The 46th Torah Parashah Study - "Eikev" meaning "because" showing the cause and effect... it also means "heel" and "reward" referring to the reward we receive both in this world and the world to come when we don't tread the mitzvot under foot. Taken from Deut. 7:12 - 11:25
    Torah Teaching at the Assembly of Called-Out Believers - by Torah Teacher Rabbi Yitzchak
    In the Parshah of Eikev (“Because”), Moses continues his closing address to the children of Israel, promising them that if they will fulfill the commandments (mitzvot) of the Torah, they will prosper in the Land they are about to conquer and settle in keeping with God’s promise to their forefathers.
    Rabbi Yitzchak brings out that we see a number of cause and effect examples showing the natural byproduct of observing Torah is blessings whereas the cause and effect of Torahlessness (sin) severs one from the Source of Life there is a natural loss of blessings, protection and eventually life.

    Because I had followed the Christian faith for years I have understanding that this Faith believes they are exempt from keeping all the Commandments. Somehow they do not even know that there are 613 Commandments not just 10. Nor do they recognize that Rome has changed those Ten Commandments. For one day keep the Sunday law, which is the first day. not the 7th day Sabbath. The other issue is they believe that the Old Testament laws are only for the Jews. Somehow they are not being taught the Old Testament Torah at all. Maybe just a reference here or there. They do not understand that we are all Israel. For some reason there is not a connection being taught as to who we are. Lord thank you for pastor Isaac for sharing his love for you.

  • @libertyfarmsiowa
    @libertyfarmsiowa Před 5 lety +9

    Wonderful Torah teaching.
    Not only do we build up much with our own hands and we forget YHWH as God, but we build our own governments, constitutions, legal systems with our own hands, which we pledge allegiance to (put our faith/fidelity in) and worship (give/pay homage/tribute) as gods (mighty authorities, sovereign powers, law makers, ruling judges).
    I always found it odd that the US is known as UNCLE SAM, built by founding FATHERS. But 14th Amendment US citizens don't call their civil law god "Father" they call him UNCLE, a surrogate, a substitute, that often parent children when their father is dead, or when they kill their "father" by their rejection of their true Father. As created beings we will always be under the authority of a 'Father', whether that father is YHWH or civil Uncles (civil law governments as surrogate fathers: Patronus : our national father, Vicarious Pater: substitute father, Parens Patriae: government as father).
    You bring up that America was originally founded upon the COMMON LAW, which is founded upon the Law of Nature and Nature's God (the Torah). Alfred the Great, the Anglo-Saxon Law giver wrote out the TORAH as the Law of England:
    Quotes from: “Missing Links Discovered In Assyrian Tablets” by E. Raymond Capt, M.A., A.I.A., F.S.A., Scot
    Chapter 12, p.199
    “Their [U.K. & USA] legal systems and constitutions are built upon the same Common Law, which had its origin in the Law of Moses - the Law of the LORD - hence the fame of American & British justice throughout the world. We should point out that these laws formed a part of our culture long before the Christian Era. These facts give us added proof, forming another ‘link’ in the chain of evidence connecting us with ancient Israel.
    The Common Law began in England as far back as 1100 BC when it was codified by Brutus (Brute) of Troy. Brutus was a great grandson of Aenaes, a descendant of Judah-Zarah [See Genesis 38: 27-30]. The Law was again codified by Malmutius - about 500 BC. King Alfred the Great again codified it. Alfred, the renown Saxon law-giver and Administrator during the Saxon period, places the Divine origin of the Law in the forefront. The following is taken from “Alfred the Great” which proclaims the law of Moses as the basis of Anglo-Saxon Administration:
    The King’s Laws
    “…coming, then to his task with this in view, we find Alfred’s code, or Alfred’s dooms as they are called, starting with an almost literal transcript of the Decalogue. The only variations of any moment are, that the second commandment is omitted from its right place, and stands as the tenth…immediately after the Ten Commandments come selections from the Mosaic Code, chiefly from the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd chapters of Exodus, very lightly modified”
    ________
    But in the US during RECONSTRUCTION it began to abandon the COMMON LAW (based on TORAH) in favor of contracting into the ROMAN/BABYLONIAN civil law (the law of men):
    United States supreme Court, Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973): “In this country, the law in effect in all but a few States until mid-19th century was the pre-existing English common law...It was not until after the War Between the States that legislation (civil law) began generally to replace the common law.”
    ________
    “The civil law arose from the ashes of the old Roman Empire and added to its emperor worship the cloak of nominal Christianity. By the tenth century, the imperial Roman Church had become the chief carrier of the old Roman Empire’s civil law tradition; the visible trappings and ceremony of its religious-political doctrines, through deceitful, lent an air of intimidation, respectability, and prestige. Thus, by the canon law, ancient Rome’s civil law persisted, not only in its continental presence but also by its tentacles -reaching, groping, grasping, throughout the world. By the seventh century, Roman law again reached into Britain. This time, however, not by Rome’s legions but by Rome’s priesthood. Thus began in earnest the struggle between the common law and the civil law, between Scriptures and Justinian’s Code. That struggle came to dominate, define, and determine the history of Britain, her colonies, North America, and the United States.”
    - Brent Winters, The Excellence of Common Law: Compared & Contrasted with Civil Law In Light of History, Nature & Scripture; p. 38
    “If we search out the origins of Roman law, we must study Babylon…”

      I do not know the answer. But I have been collecting verses about our children on which I myself also hold on to for my son.
      Hope it will bless you:
      “Because you are listening to these rulings, keeping and obeying them, Adonai your God will keep with you the covenant and mercy that he swore to your ancestors.
      He will love you, bless you and increase your numbers; he will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground - your grain, wine, olive oil and the young of your cattle and sheep - in the land he swore to your ancestors that he would give you.
      D'varim (Deu) 7:12‭-‬13 CJB
      Obey and pay attention to everything I am ordering you to do, so that things will go well with you and with your descendants after you forever, as you do what Adonai sees as good and right. (iii)
      D'varim (Deu) 12:28 CJB
      When I scatter them among the nations, They will remember Me in far countries, And with their children they will live and come back [to Me and the land I gave them].
      Zechariah 10:9 AMP
      Fear not, O Jacob My servant,’ says the Lord , ‘Nor be dismayed or downcast, O Israel; For behold, I will save you from a distant land [of exile] And your descendants from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease, And no one will make him afraid.
      Jeremiah 30:10 AMP
      Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east [where they are scattered], And gather you from the west.
      Isaiah 43:5 AMP
      “And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants [that is, He will remove the desire to sin from your heart], so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, so that you may live [as a recipient of His blessing].
      Deuteronomy 30:6 AMP
      “Lift up your eyes around you and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from far away, And your daughters will be looked after at their side.
      Isaiah 60:4 AMP
      Thus says the Lord , “A voice is heard in Ramah, Lamentation (songs of mourning) and bitter weeping. Rachel (Israel) is weeping for her children; She refuses to be comforted for her children, Because they are gone.” Thus says the Lord , “Restrain your voice from weeping And your eyes from tears, For your work will be rewarded,” says the Lord ;
      “And your children will return from the enemy’s land. There is [confident] hope for your future,” says the Lord ; “Your children will come back to their own country.
      Jeremiah 31:15‭-‬17 AMP
      Then Ephraim will be like a mighty warrior, And their heart will rejoice as if from wine; Yes, their children will see it and rejoice; Their heart will rejoice and shout triumphantly in the Lord .
      Zechariah 10:7 AMP
      When I scatter them among the nations, They will remember Me in far countries, And with their children they will live and come back [to Me and the land I gave them].
      Zechariah 10:9 AMP
      For thus says the Lord G od , “How much more when I send My four severe judgments against Jerusalem-sword, famine, predatory beasts, and virulent disease-to cut off man and animal from it! Yet, behold, survivors will be left in it [escaping the judgments], both sons and daughters. Listen carefully, they are going to come out to you [in Babylon] and you will see their [wicked] conduct and [despicable] actions; then you will be at peace in regard to the disaster which I have brought against Jerusalem for everything which I have brought on it [has been deserved].

    Pastor Isaac Deuteronomy 6 verse 8 and thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. Isn't this talking about the mark of Yahweh on our hand and our forehead?

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před 3 lety +1

      Devarim 6:8 says, "Thou shalt bind them" - meaning you shalt give all diligence, and use all means to keep them in thy remembrance, as men often bind something upon their hands, or put it before their eyes to prevent forgetfulness of a thing which they much desire to remember. Since ancient times, Jews have practiced fulfilling this by using phylacteries (also called “tefillin”). Phylacteries are small leather boxes that contain portions of the Law of Moses. The boxes are strapped to the wrist and to a sort of headband so that one literally carries the laws of God over his eyes and on his hands. Hope this helps!
