Just read about the passing of David Milgaard. RIP. For those unfamiliar with the name, it is the person upon whose miscarriage of justice this song is based. Convicted at 17 for the 1969 rape and murder of Nurse Gail Miller in Saskatchewan, Milgaard always maintained his innocence, even refusing to plea guilty in order to reduce his sentence. His mother's endless crusade to have her son's case re-opened and the conviction overturned eventually succeeded in 1992 when Milgaard was released from prison. It was many years before he was eventually, rightfully exonerated. In 1997 DNA evidence proved Milgaard was innocent. Larry Fisher was eventually charged with the murder of Gail Miller in 1999, 30 years later.

It can't be that sad. Many wrongfully accused people died before they could prove their innocence. David at least died with everyone knowing he was innocent. RIP David ❤

one thing mr pak did was bring me into the kitchen without opening the wall and he would be telling me what i should eat, raisn toast with this butter and trhat peanutr butter and he said i would love it. another was the dilmah tea and the seasonings he was very specific about which ones tro put on my food. its as if he knew something i didnt. he was very specific
