What was so continually amazing about this duo is that regardless of where you placed yourself in the political spectrum or which part was currently in power, they could still make you guffaw with that brilliant mix of brutal honesty and very clever satire. Real estate hyperbole gets me....
"On a gently undulating block" - ideal if you are farming mountain goats.
"Freshly repainted inside and out" - to hide the subsidence cracks and rising damp stains.
"Newly fitted kitchen" - better than boxes of bits you have to fit yourself.
"Ocean views" - if you climb on the roof, then climb up the chimney and then shimmy up the television antenna - the blue line in the distance, is the ocean.
"in a quiet cul-de-sac" - on a gravel road, thirty kilometers from the nearest shop.

Sadly ... at times I think Jon Clarke (who writes the clips) and Brian Dawes are the only two people left in Australia that can see the wood for the trees. It is sad as an 'overseas' Aussie to see how politics in Australia is descending into depths of despair. The Labor Party after their performance in the past few years needed a kick in the A#se but what we have now is like something out of the 19th Century. The rich versus the poor and many of their supporters will soon be quite poor.
Over 50% of Australian exports is Coal which produces greenhouse gases and Iron Ore which needs coal to turn it into steel. One way or another in the next 20 years or so... it will be a bare rock in an ocean.

Well it was the Whitlam Labor govt who signed Australia up to the Lima Agreement in 1973. You’d remember that one, the agreement which specified the sending to The Third World of Australia’s manufacturing jobs.
      How did that turn out?
Our kids can’t get good paying real jobs.
We now only serve each other coffee and build shoddy housing out of second rate Chynese building materials.
Wait, there’s more, we now are blessed to have Chyna buying up all our farmland and corrupting our politics.
      Dirty Chynese money everywhere.
Globalism has been such a blessing for Australia.
Imagine if Whitlam had of stood up and said “ Your children will not be able to follow you and secure high end manufacturing jobs, because we’re sending them all to Chyna”. “ Basically, f*ck you and your children’s aspirations”
What would have Aussies have done, do you think?
