It is sad as an 'overseas' Aussie to see how politics in Australia is descending into depths of despair. The Labor Party after their performance in the past few years needed a kick in the A#se but what we have now is like something out of the 19th Century. The rich versus the poor and many of their supporters will soon be quite poor. Over 50% of Australian exports is Coal which produces greenhouse gases and Iron Ore which needs coal to turn it into steel. One way or another in the next 20 years or so... it will be a bare rock in an ocean.
Well it was the Whitlam Labor govt who signed Australia up to the Lima Agreement in 1973. You’d remember that one, the agreement which specified the sending to The Third World of Australia’s manufacturing jobs. How did that turn out? Our kids can’t get good paying real jobs. We now only serve each other coffee and build shoddy housing out of second rate Chynese building materials. Wait, there’s more, we now are blessed to have Chyna buying up all our farmland and corrupting our politics. Dirty Chynese money everywhere. Globalism has been such a blessing for Australia. Imagine if Whitlam had of stood up and said “ Your children will not be able to follow you and secure high end manufacturing jobs, because we’re sending them all to Chyna”. “ Basically, f*ck you and your children’s aspirations” What would have Aussies have done, do you think?
