AMAZON BRAKES vs. STEEP DOWNHILL TRAILS

I bought some $98 4-piston hydraulic mountain bike brakes off of Amazon to see how well they actually work. There's a stigma in the mtb world that you need to have the best parts to go fast and that's not always the case. First thoughts may be sketchy when a set of brakes costs less than a replacement lever blade for some boutique brakes, but these things outperformed my expectations. I expected fade or the need for a bleed. I also expected them to leak but they didn't! DM us on IG to get them!

That lever problem is probably cheap mineral oil boiling, if you bleed them with full new mineral oil from a brand (shimano, magura etc), that has the right additives to bring that boiling point way higher, they might work better. Also I bet those pads are the cheapest stuff, so better pads and better mineral oil should do the trick. Enjoyed the video! Thanks.

i have the same brakes but the brand in my pair is ZTTO, 4 piston mineral oil brakes with metalic pads
bought those for 760 MX pesos (like 45 dollars) for my 29er hardtail. in the first ride the levers felt a bit spongy and after replace the rotors and rear line with a reinforced one they worked ok

Great video ... Hadn't seen you on my recommends (I don't keep alerts on cause I get enough of them from work). Have some catching up to do.
Why'd you guys change from Send er Buds? Cherubinis doesn't exactly roll of the tongue and just seems kinda complicated. Like Skills with Phil or Seth's Bike Hacks (before the switch to Berm Peak), they're kinda catchy and encapsulate their channels. I'd have gone with something like Mountain Bike Bros or something easier to remember and spell, and that makes you think of MTB.

Warning for every one that consider buying those brakes. They massively suffer from brake fading and will leak if they get too hot. I bled those brakes many times and nothing worked. Finally I ended up cutting them and getting something decent on my bike.
