They are interesting indeed. I totally agree with you: the power switch and volume control on the back is a no no.
On the other hand, I prefer it to be analog and without BT (nice of FiiO to offer the speakers with and without BT)
With no digital input? well, I'd rather use my DAC instead of whatever cheap thing they would put in there to keep the price low. Not that my SMSL SU-1 is expensive mind you. But if I upgrade, I can use still use the speakers.
As for the BT, well if I'm going to use this with my computer, the streaming will be coming from the computer so it makes BT redundant to me.
And for sure, a sub out would have been great.
Maybe for the next model, we'll see.

I agree about Bluetooth and its quality but it would make life easier on a desk at least for me with so many devices. A dac straight in was not great due to volume control issues so as long as the dac has a preamp control you’re good.
