honestly, i really love the sekai version of 88☆彡. comparing it to the characters and the event... there's so much symbolism it just feels like the vs and sekai versions were picked out so well when it comes to the story of the song itself.. i cried when i first read the lyrics because it is so pretty and especially when you relate it to tsukasa's whole story it is his song.
Someone pointed out that the Sekai version and the vocaloid have a different meaning in each cover and I love interpreting it that way 😭 (Both the Sekai and Vocaloid have a special place in my heart✨)

Kaito and miku just power vocal it so much better and their rhythm isn't as awkward as sekai version (which isn't bad but I had to get used to that one VS VS version = instant click) For me, I like Cinema VS for the same reason as the Nomad reasoning. It gives a more melancholy feel the sekai version doesn't have Showtime ruler rin? Now THAT was a VS version robbed of masterpiece tuning. i think my personal favourite VS version would have to be tricologe, i love the sekai version but the harsh tuning of vflower (which sounds a lot better than NILFRUITS'S normal tuning? whats up w that?) along with the softness of the vocals really creates a contrast i like, maybe even more than the fully soft and atmospheric form of the sekai version
Personally I would put Moonlight, Bug, “1”, and ID Smile much higher (and Starry Sky Melody and some of the More More Jump and Leo/Need songs in the low 20s/high 10s much lower 💀), but all in all a good list. i honestly think most of wxs’s songs just don’t work with human voices, and that’s why i end up not liking them (smile survey team is the best example for me). I completely agree with you on tondemo-wonderz (the sekai version is just too overwhelming for me and i end up cringing hard), but i can’t say the same for the high-ranking ones that use vflower (ESPECIALLY LOWER), to me she just sounds like when you rub the tip of a fork on a plate i’m sorry 😭 there are some songs i like that use her, but they’re very few and she’s tuned in a particular way that makes her tolerable to listen to lol.
