5:15 Flew Virgin Australia a few years back from Melbourne to Los Angeles.Worth a try and they have a decent long haul business class.
Nice! I should try them, as whenever anybody thinks of Australian airlines, Qantas comes to mind
It's rare to fly 737s with eyebrow windows. Quite cool seeing the Alaska air 737 with the new and old livery. My first time on Alaska air was from ANC-SEA-DTW on a 737 900. I was returning home from a very nice trip to alaska I went on an Alaska cruise, I landed on a glacier on a Robinson Helicopter and I saw mt McKinney in Denali. An unforgettable experience! Very nice crews on the Alaska air flight

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I chose to fly VA SEA - SFO return twice in two weeks in First Class. The seats were equal to int'l long haul. Can you explain why you choose (nearly always ) the last row in the cabin config?

@@QFSAviation If you are ever lucky enough to fly on an -800, it's a pretty nice experience. Lots of leg room, sky interior, etc.

For over a three hour flight in First and that is all they serve you.
What sucks even more is that they’re getting ride of all of the IFE screens. The new cabin still looks pretty decent

@@MileHigh_Aviation Watching a movie on a tiny phone screen isn't fun, and some of us don't have a device with us on the plane. BYOD and BYOF (buy your own food) may be the coming money-saving thing, but it's removing what little joy is left in flying.

This is actually "premium economy" or "economy - more room" and is mislabeled by the airline. Although I probably should use US domestic flight standards, which are pretty low.
Was there a full moon when you traveled? There were some great shots. Lastly who travels and doesn't have anything-the guy leaving the plane with nothing, no backpack, fannypack, roller board?

What date did you travel? It says "Date of travel January 1 2019 but preceding that,you say "On Feb 18,I flew......" So which is it? Anchorage looks just a wee bit colder than LA! What does one do at 5am Anchorage time? Did you get a room for the night? Looking at your inflight snack,I would have been upset--half sandwich and chips in FC? Had I been there,I would've asked the FA for seconds if any were left--granted,it IS a late night flight---a future video could involve doing a 'fact-finding tour' on SWA with their new service to Hawaii Or perhaps AS from ANC>HNL--if you're looking for overseas flights--Air Tahiti Nui LAX>CDG

If there is no IFE, then why there is a box in the foot-well area, which restricts the legroom?
I'm not sure why it's there, but it was annoying!
The box is the power supply for the powerports. The new 737-700 and Airbus retrofits have a different design that takes up less under-seat space.
No IFE, that's pretty bad. I think the plane is later than the 800 because of the mood lighting unless it was retrofitted for some reason.

The legroom is outstanding, but that's about all you get for "first class". Oh, and two glasses of juice and half a sandwich. I suppose that for some of us the legroom is critical and worth the extra fare, but "premium economy" would be a more accurate label.

It’s probably 737-800 because the mood lighting aren’t what Alaska’s original 737-900ER boeing sky interiors like during boarding normally it’s brighter blue at normal blue volume

I flew this flight and it was not up to par for first class. The seat doesn't recline much and there's no pillow and/or blanket provided. A hot sandwich was offered and not much else. The wi-fi entertainment which you have to provide your own equipment to work with didn't work at all. Very disappointing.
