This type of project could be flipped into bath mat as well as the said front door mat. I would leave off standard sizes for bath mat personally. Very zen

That would look great made from teak and and would make a great door mat. When I live Florida I built shower grates and swim plate forms out of teak. I know some people can't work with it

Dude this is awesome! I always hit my projects, that’ll get hit with possible moisture from food or from cleaning, with a good water spray between sandings 220-320. Nothing worse then those little pesky wood fibers popping up after cleaning. Great project. I’ll be making this! Thanks!

Yeah, big dog, you could make a set of 3. Maybe that size as a 13x9 and a pot holder. Maybe 24 x 15ish as the serving tray what do you think.Haven't made anything yet, but I may try this if I can find walnut and whatever the other is lol

Love this idea, Im gonna make this but i also have an idea that id like your opinion on, If i made this but like shelves for a cold smoker and instead of gluing the slates in place have raw pine or something with a scent and edible so i can switch slates and scented wood with each meal, obviously keep the old slates and build up flavour, but im thinking that might be a good idea and give some extra nature flavour to meats. What do you think? and cold smoke the wood wouldnt be at risk of burning

When Mj was small he would help his popo in the garage build a train set of wood and he would always say to his popo alittle bit of glue popo.
