Hey DM I'd also like to note a level 5 charm can be transmuted into a "skill charm" at level 5 then once it becomes a skill charm it is marketable that is how I make my Plat as a f2p way also crafted random 1,2,5* gems are also marketable only the random ones though so 2 ways you didn't mention. Just a heads up if you wanna add those in another video as a possible f2p method for Plat.
Good info, but don't forget the 15% market cut they take. Forget upgrading those 5 stars. It'll still take forever. Blizz just needs to put more rewards in the battle pass since F2P from what I heard is ok with that purchase

some people said that you can't buy your own gems with your alts, they don't show on your market so people is using different account alts to do the same process, just a different account, if you can confirm it'd be great, thanks for the vid!
I appreciate that you still consider us free to play players and even though this is a not great solution it's an option and I'm with you I hope Blizzard changes some of the volume of gems they give give to free to play players cuz it's hard out here lol. Note I'm a battle pass minnow, so not exclusively f2p.

Great tip...if I was still playing D:I -- unfortunately quit a week ago. Back into D3, and finding it a breath of fresh air not getting all the grifty popups all the time.

I'm not completely free to play (around $60) and I am not even considering 5 star gems at all.. I just want to take my rank 1 or 2 gems up. I think that's where most people fit right now

I main a monk, it was the 3rd account I made as I started with a necromancer and then made a mage which I got bored of both of them leading me to create a monk which I love btw, so this is awesome thanks bro actually have uses for other accounts :)

The only question is: how long does a bot need to get 4 sellable gems and 120 mission points per character, before switching to the next character. If he can do it in 30 min and can rake in 600 platinum per character per day after transfer and you want to limit your characters to 100 over multiple devices each only playing 8-10 hours, so blizzard doesnt immediatly bans you thats 60000 platinum or around 75 gem essence per day, so basically 2 rank 10 5/5 per month.
Blizzard will see a rise in characters created and react. If f2p can grind, bots can do it even better.
I'm pretty sure Lair gems are bound, so if you want all sellable gems before hitting the cap, don't do lairs, but do 4man dungys or open world instead.
They used to be tradable... until last week. They are now indeed bound. Which is just complete bs...
If dev don't make this better in a few month fewer ppl will play. Already happening, even spenders and youtubers are leaving. There are also so many quality of life things they can improve, not even speaking on p2w. Like westmarch instead of everything spread out bring jeweler, blacksmith, market, all closer, why is hilts so far away. Item load outs should he in menu not a location. Same for essence, in menu not a location. The vault for immortal, my God is that bad, hardly able to enter, all my 300 clan members complaining, and sometimes if after you get in from spamming enter button and waiting 30 min, you get weird match up or missing ppl and end with nothing received.
Sadly there is no incentive to make game more f2p friendly. It makes them tons of money, some people are spending 100k+ $$. When they milk out all of whales game can slowly die out for all they care because at that point it would already earn them more than enough.
You have to spend $ on BP for each character. Spent $20 on bundles and got over 100k Platinum worth of goods already.
Yeah I got really lucky and spent £40 and got a 4 star blood soaked jade and 2 other gems, sold them all for like 400k plat.
We are definitely the lucky ones though, there’s people in my clan blowing $1000 and getting nothing lol.
Hidden lair gems are account-bound, you cannot put them in auction house. Cap on auctionable gems is about 6 per day.
I can't confirm this at the moment, but I heard that you can't buy items with your alt. If you go to your alt, any items you put on the marketplace does not show up. This prevents you transferring platinum from one character to another. The only solution is to have alt accounts rather than alt characters. And I really don't want to go through all this trouble of creating multiple accounts... and multiboxing just so I can get a bit of power that still doesn't come close to closing the gap.
This is amazing! Alts need a reason to exist besides them being fun

Add he'll tiers to rifts so that the higher lvl you play on, the more ember you earn per rift. And I agree... unlimited ember... even if I played 10 hours a day thats probably only like 6 crafts a day... and let's be honest that's most likely 6, one star gems...
Another way to increase your platinum earn is to farm skill stones. Buy the 2x charms per day from the limited time hilts trader, plus the 3x per week you can also buy from hilts trader. You also get one for free each day from battle points. You should be able to get a skill stone every week as ftp from each character with no additional farming. Those stones sell for thousands on the market.
How from battle points can you get the charm?
The skill stone has to roll well to sell though right? Like is it worth spending the 500 to make it if it only has one good skill on it?
Once you buy the gems from yourself at a high price, if they don't bind on purchase you can just resell them at the going rates and make the ah cut and a little extra out of each one
And this happen two times when you sell it on alt and second time when sell it on main

I think you should show grinding greater rifts an buying the FA an ATI runes . That’s how I have got my legendary gems. I have spent about $75 total spread across crest an BP an in game items. It takes 22 FA runes for a random legendary an about 17 FA for a 1-3 star I think. But team up with four peeps to get 14+ of what you need to trade for the runes each run. But again it’s all up to y’all .
I heard from diablo immortal beta test, players can buy the bound legendary crest for 1600 platinum, I think they need to implemented again,because it will help all players ( spender or not) to minimize the time for upgrade gem to rank 10.
It's already implemented but u buy it with 1600 hilts not plat and only once per month

As f2p would it be better to just build 1 and 2 star gems up so you can actually get magic find sooner than later or no mater what should you shoot for 5 star gems?
This isn't a very feasible route to take lol.
Every month you spend doing this, you're losing ground on a day to day basis. Heck, by the time you have the 2star 5star gems you want, they're going to be outdated by new p2w content.
So 300 plat a day and a 5/5 stars gem for 500.000 plat = my grand grand daughter at the age of 78 will be able to get one. Immortal.
DM, if you buy a 2/5 star legendary gem and equip it but never upgrade it, can you still sell it later on?

another tip to farm pp would be to turn your simple charms into grand charms and then extract that GC into a skillstone which sells for 2500p
and 1 more tip, use 22 fa runes to create a random 1-5 star gem which is also tradable on the AH, 2star gems often sell for 8-60kp depending on the gem you craft
How much do kill stones with 5 different class skills sell for?
On my server it costs 671, prob because everybody doing that, after tax i got 570 plat lol. 70 plat profit fk yea
@@DarkepyonX Don't forget the 15% tax that Blizz takes for no decent reason. 1600 - 15% = 1360 - 500 = 860 Platinum profit. Then if you reinvest that into another skill stone, you only have 360 Platinum profit. Blizz makin' sure that F2P suffers...
What if other people do the same thing and you don't know which gem is yours because there are some of them selling at max price in the market, i mean farming alts and giving plat to someone else by accident would be awful, besides there's a rumor you can't trade with alts in the same account lol
You said "us free to play players", but judging the items in your inventory, I'm not sure if you belong to that category... (I mean, you used Boon of Plenty to view the marketplace even...).
It isnt really feasible to transfer wealth to a main consistently because of price caps and the restricted nature of items for sale within the marketplace. Purchase charms from the hilt trader every time you see them to eventually sell skill stones, and if you use blue crests you can decently often get a gem drop in the rift, which can also be sold. Play the markets yall!
Another way to get platinum is by making skill stones from lvl 5 charm and selling them on the market.

Man, what do you recommend? upgrade a 5 star legendary gems to lvl 2? or upgrade a 1 star legendary gems to the max lvl i can? my question is for not f2p player but not a whale player either.

Hey Darth (or any one else that might know) would you happen to know the crafting probabilities of crafting 1 to 5 star gem? After getting like 3-4 1 star gems from it and not seeing anyone who even got a 2* gem from it I’m starting to think it might be better to just craft 1 or 2 star gems so I can get a more consistent upgrade on my current 1-2 star gems instead of going for the Hail Mary
Yeah craft 1 star gems, 4x1 star gems sell more than one 2 star gem and both take the same amount of materials to craft. I think the probability of getting a 5 star is really low so using the fading embers for 1 stars seems a more consistent method to make platinum long term. I tried for 2 weeks on the random legendary and got two 1 stars
I think it’s .03 percent?? I think I saw that somewhere. So that’s 3 out of 10,000 chance. If this is correct, definitely not worth randoming.
Even if it’s .3 percent chance 3 out of a thousand is awful chances when you consider how hard it is to get FA runes.
Odds are exactly the same as a legendary crest. 4.5% chance to get a ?/5 star gem

they need to make the stash shared between alts . i have a 5 skill charm with all skill for a monk an a cader in my my stash i got these on my necro. by lvling up skill charms trying to get good skills for my necro . i have a 5 skill charm but a full support necro i don't even use

I get it why it's "EXTREME" just play 24/7 for 3 months on 5 characters to get platinum for 1 5-star gem. GL maintaining your job/life/marriage.
Tbh, that's how my guildie bought plat from a Chinese farm. Weird because he paid enough for 10 Eternal orbs, got lucky and got a 3/5 gem. Marked it WAYYY overpriced and then paid a Chinese plat farmer to buy his gem overpriced and he got a massive amount of plat quickly. Really the Chinese don't even charge much, like 10k plat is 4-5$? But yeah I dunno about using this method for long, I dunno if Blizz will distinguish between self trading and Chinese farming. Be careful my dudes!
I payed like 400 on release and stopped playing at 40 because I genuinely don’t like how this game is being monetised they won’t get anymore money from I haven’t touched the app for like almost a month

The alts can be of the same account, or it must be different accounts?
Probably doesn't matter if same or different account, but you want them on the same server as the main, if you sell gems on market from one account to another.

I had my fun for 2weeks after the Release but, but now with 2 paragon 30+ chats i Hit a wall which feels pointless to fight against, Combat rating is the problem. Paragon lvl, non legandary gem stats dont matter, even stats from your items are pointless, horadrims sanctury stats
Wont increase your Combat rating... So to increase your CR you have 2 options, Option 1 legend gear or Set items which wont drop for me personally except i play for hours every day

Your legend gems but Blizzard gives you almost no options to farm IT, you have your shitty 320 fading embercap which isnt even enough to craft a 2star legend each week and you have your 3 rare crest each Day if you have the hilt for it which is still laugable to make progress in this game

So what’s going to happen with this is as the market gets flooded with normal gems, their prices will plummet. This is a short term solution at best. I would not be encouraging people to mass characters and flood the market with gems unless they want to crash their server’s normal gem economy

And also, you can get lots of platinum with selling spells upgraded (extracted) to an ability stone...you can get even more platinum if ur lucky enough to get 2 or more abilities for the same class...
Keep in mind... there is a market cut. I think it's like... 15%? So you will lose 15% of your plat per gem purchase.
Still worth it , I got 10 1 Star gems today with basically no effort , it's just boring .

the Only way to do this is to have multiple accounts.
As a F2P player you still probably have an ass attached to your backside that you could sell for pretty good money depending on how you market yourself.
With that money you can then go ahead and buy legendary crests that'll allow you to drop legendary gems from your elder rifts.
It's a lot of fuckin but it's one of the ways as a free to play player to eventually have a maxed out character

Let's say this. Blizzard considered everyway a F2P player can play this game without paying, that's why every cap and 15% tax and bounded in place. Work a whole month to get a level 1 2/5 legendry is not really a solution.

Nah this is wrong because u can't set gems to any price u want, they limit the amount u can increase the price to. I've tried setting higher price than the market and it didn't let me.
Screw that, not worth the effort or time. They need to make it easier to get them without swiping your credit card or the game is just not worth playing.

You use words like "a few" minutes and "very" easy, and this method is neither of those things. Thanks for the info, as this is the only method avaliable, but you're spinning this really hard. Should take 247 days at 6 hours a day from my calculations and the prices on my server. I wouldn't call that "quick" or "very easy" more like "life consuming" and "better part of a year". Your guide is good and I'm sure some people will use it so thank you for that, but again you're spinning the adjectives hard there.
