Hey, Aryan is this a good workflow to make a gun model for a game?
This was great. The fact that you get stuck in with essentially one reference image gives me anxiety. If i try to model anything I need a billion reference images of every possible angle because my smooth brain can't see how A connects to C without B.
I'm assuming you've modeled many Ar-15 type weapons that gave you insight into how to aproach certain shapes? How do you approach models where you don't have as much experience with the reference or have as much reference material?
for the receiver how did you make the two bullshit buttons smooth did you add a subdivision modifier?
You know the guy is a pro when he's:
1. Straight to the point
2. Shirtless(Optional)
not to mention school shooting jokes also
@@emilalibekovyea lol that was funny asf… and random too.
@@mathislacroix5177 I condemn it
@@emilalibekov i don’t find school shootings funny. It’s just the way he says it.
AND HOT
Few years back this would be at least 100$ tutorial. You deserve 500k subs! Bravo dečko! :D
Hvala brate pozdrav
With him everything looks so easy :)
Where's the lie in this?
Im learning blender and I've see from other CZcams videos (wont mention the youtubers here, cause they're actually good), but they make really cool models with their / thirdparty addons and what not or sell you their course to learn this with the addons of course. So i just ended up making my own models from reference images which are completely trash in geometry.
But that was three months ago, now, im seeing this video and Im like damn. This is pure GOLD. I know now, that I really am a noob, but dang. This video is pure GOLD 🪙🪙🪙🪙
@@crxd_dystopyr Addons huh.. I think I know what kind of "hard surface" addons you're talking about.. when you mentioned horrible topology
@@therealkarannn😂😂
"so you can hold this thing hard when your going to shoot somebody" best words ever said. i love these tutorials and this guys humor
probably one of the best tutorial out there for gun models!
1. That bridge at the bottom of the trigger guard is there so you can open it and be able to fire the gun with thick winter gloves on. Service rifles of most nations have this requirement.
2. The ping pong paddle is the bolt catch release, allows you to drop the bolt after inserting a new magazine to load one in the chamber without using the charging handle.
3. The ring by the stock you put 4 notches in actually only has 3 and is called the castle nut. It's used to hold the buffer tube in place. *EDIT* Just checked my AR-180 and it has 4 notches. Not only am I autistic, but also retarded.
I'm autistic about guns, and you asked lol. Not trying to be pedantic, you are an awesome artist.
As a fellow gun-nerd, THANK YOU.
Let's texture this rifle in the new tutorial
Maybe maybe, I am planning a new series which would include this
@@ArijanRaceI think that would be very cool
Topless Topology with Aryan, keep up the great work man. Your problem solving methodology with your models is one of the best around.
I don't understand much English, but you explain in such a practical and straightforward way that it's easy to grasp. I became a big fan of your work when I discovered it this month. Thank you very much for sharing valuable knowledge with us!
"and all this other shi-" was the cherry on top for me 😂
The “little paddle thing” is the bolt catch/release, when the magazine is out of ammo to feed the bolt catch will prevent the bolt from closing. After inserting a full magazine press the button in and the bolt will chamber a round.
I've learned a lot of useful modeling techniques from your videos. Thanks man, keep shooting more videos like this!
I just made an Uzi gun today and failed, your tutorials are epic
Yet again, straight to the point teaching. I absolutely love it. Fantastic Christmas present!
Damn. Excellent tutorial, one of the best ones I've seen on CZcams the past couple of years, and I really enjoy the blunt, straight to the point no-bullshit style you have :D
Thank you my friend
Love the way this dude makes his models
Kudos
After watching must be 100s of blender videos over the years you would think i wouldn't learn any new tricks or easier ways of doing things, but somehow i learn something new in every video 🤣.I also love the fact you are not showing me what to do, you are TELLING me what to do so it makes it stick. great video 👍
This is actually a really good video for learning how to model anything, you need to think about each part of the model like a separate thing. Straight to the point and shirtless, which I guess is a plus lol.
I promise as soon i get the money i’ll grab that book
It's so hard to find a gun modeling tutorial that's actually good. But u made an amazing video my friend. Would love to see more like these and a vid of u texturing the gun would be an added bonus.
Seeing Aryan do the topology and subD is kind of surreal, since I remember watching him making tanks mostly using bevels and disconnected geometry. He's a professional after all.
It's because of Thomas Colin
just when i want to add realistic gun models to my game but dont know where to start this video comes out! def staying up late to watch it all, very informational thank you!
You honestly make the best tutorials, found ur channel today and i'm really glad
full tutorial all with instructions, crazy quality video!
Thank you
Im not quite ready to make such a large model of a gun but I watched it learn a little bit modeling and detailing, amazing tutorial.
I just love the way you teach, is straight do the point and easy to understand.
hahahahaha bro, i love how straight forward you are! Keep it up man! i Found you lately, and i must say theres levels to this!
Top G of 3D modeling strikes back with another banger video 🔥
I gotta comment for this one. I was confused about shapes like gun grips and working/modeling with sub-d, and not gonna lie I was stuck about those topics. Your video appeared on my homepage and I just clicked and got answers to my questions after a long long time. Your talking and explanation speed is a little bit fast for me because English not my native language, also I never modeled gun before. But still this video is golden, I subscribed and liked immediately. Thanks ! :)
The explanation of different fire modes was awesome. Hoedown you don’t get demonetized
Your channel is super underrated bro. You should have way more subs. Good shit thanks for the free tutorials!
i'm not advanced enough to do this yet, but this is so satisfying to watch
Brilliant work my guy
30:30 is for opening the gun when you press it after taking the pin out (above the fire mode) it will break the shape of your gun means it will bring the top and bottom into
90 degrees (Used for taking apart the gun or cleaning it)
I really learned so much from this video. Absolutely amazing tutorial on Sub D Modeling. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us !
I did it brother took a long time 💪as a beginner.Learned more tricks with the 3d cursor, Thanks A lot !
Big Up Aryannnn.. You`ve taught me a alot in this Blender world. I loved the tutorial, moreso modeling the guard, It was tough but made it
@30:30 thats the slide release and slide catch button. holds the slide open when you hit the bottom half with the slide open, releases the slide after you insert a new magazine and hit the top round portion to make the weapon ready to fire with the fresh mag. Thanks for the tutorial! I love your work flow.
Great info, thanks for sharing.
Looks insane, i don't understand anything, but it was helpfull, i learnt some things. Thank you for work!
Love your work sir so much to learn. Thank you for tutorials.
thats one of the best tuts thank you bro
You got insane skill bro
thx, this made me want to try and learn blender again!
2:06 when you shoot someone. you're like you're making a real life gun bro!! xD
thank you for not speeding this up like others do where you cant understand anything
30:36 This little lever is to lock or release the bolt. It locks the bolt to the rear when you're out of ammo, and when you reload you slap it to send the bolt forward again, now you're ready to shoot.
Cooles Outfit 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you! I'm working on a little game and I've been wanting to learn how to make it for uhhhhh pri i mean i mean, the enjoyment!
30:32 that is the slide catch and release. Basically when you shoot the last bullet the slide locks back just like on a pistol, and then after you put in a new magazine you can push that button to release the slide forwards again without pulling the charging handle. It just makes reloading a bit faster.
Thank you, this kind of comments make video recording more interesting
Anyone ever tell you you're like the Andrew Tate of Blender? 😂 Awesome video bro, you're very good at this.
Literally every day. Thanks G 👑
bro when you explain sometimes u sound so funny
I discovered this channel today, im starting to learn blender vanilla (without addon) , i'm a maya user with 7 years of expérience, dont'stop . Thanks❤
I'm thinking about switching from maya to blender
dew it.@@malx2340
You can do anything in Blender. Thank you
i wish i could like this video more than once to show my appreciation,u the best brother
i wont argue, you are hell great teacher!
Hey Aryan at 25:00 , That hinge is the Trigger guard which can be flipped down.
It's designed so when the shooter is wearing thick Gloves in Extreme cold weather situations the Trigger guard doesn't block the shooter from pulling the trigger.
I learn more from the people that watch my videos than they do from me. Thanks, that makes sense 🙏
@@ArijanRace Thank you for the straight up great content you provide on YT. Have an amazing 2024!
The hinge on the trigger is for gloves. If you are in a cold climate and wear thick gloves you open up the hinge so that you glove hand can fit :)
Thanks, that makes sense. Most of these things look purposeless to me when I'm modeling it but obviously it's all designed for a purpose.
"And all of this other shit" I love it haha
So, the. Button on the side you didn’t know about is called bolt catch. And the button that lets you take out the mag is called the mag release. And the tube that holds the butt stock is buffer tube, the thung under the trigger is called the trigger guard which is basically preventing the trigger to be pulled with some object like your rifle sling etc. and oh yeah, the compartment under the grip is just an em space for you to store batteries etc. also you forgot to model the ejection port on the other side. Also the thing that you pull with both fingers is called the charging handle. Btw you are amazing brother keep it coming!!
wtf so good tutorial and i like your sytle video, brazilian by the way
Thank you!
Perfect now all I need to do is 3D print this.
nobody does it better.
look into plasticity though, I'm addicted.
Good shit brother, you deserve unlimited ghorme sabzi for your work 💯
An unusual compliment but thank you my friend 🙏♥️
Great tutorial. This is one of the very few gun tutorials that actually explain what the fuck is going on. Great work like always and thanks for the tutorial
30:30 that thing is for inserting a new bullet after full reload (when there is no ammo in the chamber)
25:06 I think it's for shooting with winter gloves.
this tutorial is from different level. thanks
bro legit does not care what he wears for a video what a real one
lesgo bro 💥💥💥
youre like the andrew tate of the 3d space lol thank you for your help brother
im hoping this tutorial will go down in history along with the donut tutorial
I sure hope so too💰
Imagine a world without Aryan
This guy was definitely in the trades before lmao
What makes you think so?
"so u can shoot more people" 😂😂
hero !
Please, show how to make a retopology from such High Poly.
GREAT GUIDE!!!!
Ty
Hey man amazing tutorial as always. Could you share your blender theme properties in a video at some point? What matcap is this? This looks like a RTX version of blender tbh. Just enabling cavity is not the case here.
Бро огромное тебе спасибо за твои уроки, одни из лучших что я только видел,
this is a w channel
I mean, i would say if your trying to model a gun for a game this might not be the perfect tutorial, he is using modifiers like subdiv to speed up his workflow and to get sharper and smoother details. 700K for a whole gun is ofc not good for any game, i would prefer doing it low poly manually without using subdiv (atleast for most of the parts)
Hi Aryan, I'm new in blender and would like to make weapons and I'm amazed by your tutorial, did you learn from any course or by yourself??
Billions must try
"Were not even going to do a intro this time." Continues to do his intro.
He actually made it...
Great tutorial i am trying to make as i am new in the organic modeling ( i used to make buildings). the only thing is that i cant fin the exact same image and i cant follow from some point if you can share the link of your image. thank you
does anybody know how he made his objects blue when they are first created? also how is his reference image black background if it is white on the site originally?
hi master, this model is 550k poly, would you be able to reduse geo for gaming uses?
at 7:51 your confusing me how do you join the semi circle to the handle but you join the selected edges to the somehow now seperated semi circle
Why is it that you used G Stretch with Project at 11:28?????
I don't understand??
Anyways this is very good video
what i learn in this video : DONT GET SHOT !!
Jk bro, love your tutorials
These kinda tutorials sell for like 50 to 60 $ holly shit u r good
Bro I don't know your name or who are you
But this channel helps me alot
You are G👍🗿
Holy shit just in time
How many hours does it usually take to complete modelling and texturing such an asset?
Game Dev ASMR
The bridge is for thicker gloves
where i can find your exact reference immagine?
Thanks for amazing modeleing tutorials.
Could you please tell me what is the app you using to record mouse and keys?
Thanks.
I don't know I just googled "Blender Screen cast keys" and downloaded the first popular addon from github
@@ArijanRace OK
Thanks for your reply

That's the bolt catch. After the last round is fired, the bolt will retract and the bolt catch will catch it. After reloading, you can press the bolt catch and it will release the bolt, sending it forward to chamber the next round.
Instead of hitting the bolt catch, you can also pull back and release the charging handle. It also releases the bolt.
Amazing but how do you optimize it for games?
