the terrain fighting Naruto is similar to the move Kabuto uses when in sage mode against Itachi/sasuke the Inorganic Reincarnation.

In this situation it was just used a distraction as it was completely unexpected and the opponent was struck for the moment that what is going on here.
I love how this part of the arc takes the show back to its roots in combat for naruto. Like the multi shadow clones and harem jutsu.
It's subtle, but the exchange Naruto and Obito have after he wakes up implies that Obito's wounds were too severe and, though Naruto was able to restore him somewhat, ultimately, he will not survive no matter what. So, he just wants to die in a meaningful way.
Of course he had nine tail beast pulled out of him at once then the gedo statue later summoned out of him he was supposed to been dead and immobilized but zetsu and naruto helped him

12:45 Basically, Naruto reviving him was going to be temporary to begin with as even his powers can't fully break "the user dies" rules of the jutsus he's used. Hence Obito stating he is almost out of time. So rather than live out what little life he has left, he plans to use it to help defeat Kaguya.
@@AokiyamaShinichi if that were the case, Naruto would have imagined Obito living longer as he had no desire for Obito to die. I simply cannot see Naruto imagining he'd bring back Obito for only a short time. It's clearly presented as being a limitation on Naruto's powers, just like how while he saved Guy's life he was not able to fix all the damage the eight gates did. Also, Naruto describes his restoring Kakashi's eye by saying he took a part of Kakashi and copied it, hence why the eye is a normal eye (Kakashi's remaining eye) instead of the sharingan eye Kakashi lost.
My headcanon interpretation is that the reason Obito and Guy are dying are not the same, and that's why Naruto can affect them differently.
Guy's 8 Gates results in death because it literally uses up every ounce of strength in the human body, causing it to literally disintegrate, and thus result in death. Naruto can then intervene by repairing Guy's body (similar to Kakashi's eye) and thus prevent him from dying. Presumably, a sufficiently potent medical ninjutsu could accomplish the same thing, but no medical ninja in the show's history has demonstrated that they are powerful enough to stop the 8 Gates (not even Sakura or Tsunade, as Sakura demonstrated she was unable to regenerate a single eyeball).
Meanwhile, Obito's death is due to his usage of the Rinne Rebirth to revive Madara. Here, the conditions of the jutsu literally involve Obito sacrificing his soul in order to bring Madara's soul back to the living plane. His body is not damaged, so Naruto cannot heal it. He can reinvigorate Obito and thus allow his own body to cling to its soul for longer, but is not able to do more than delay Obito's soul leaving his body.
As for Guy's leg, presumably Naruto could have healed it in the moment, but chose to prioritize dealing with Madara first since Guy was unconscious.
@@yama_noki that's a good theory, though Madara states his interpretation was that what Naruto did was "stop" the very final effect of using the 8 gates. Guy's life hadn't fully burned out yet (represented by that flicker of chakra still in his heart) and whatever Naruto did seemed to directly effect that most of all. The rest of Guy's body was still in rough shape, his leg most of all, so it seems like Naruto's focus was on just stopping his life from burning out and he was either unable to restore him further or lacked time to.
Indeed it doesn't seem like he regenerates exactly when he heals people either, given how he tried to describe what he did to restore Kakashi's eye (namely he says he took "part" of Kakashi and then somehow used that to make an eye, which I've always thought was an attempt by him to say he basically copied Kakashi's still existing eye and placed it in the other eye socket). If I recall what, the "healing" ability granted by that mark on Naruto's hand isn't actually considered medical ninjutsu but something else entirely.
One other thing to consider is that Obito was suffering a double death sentence basically. Using Rinne Rebirth should have killed him but Black Zetsu could keep him alive as long as he was attached. Then the Ten Tails husk was removed, which also would have killed him right then and there were it not for Black Zetsu's presence (since the husk is what kept him from dying when the tailed beasts were extracted).
Obito said about them not having time to talk coz of kaguya being threat not coz he is dying. Naruto don't have capabilities to bring someone back even for temporarily.
I think Zetsu being attached to Obito gave enough time to his body's chakra to get stable and then Naruto healed him fully. Afterall with Yang release Naruto can give him enough life energy to revive fully. Hamura was also revived near death stage. He wasn't revived after death.

In obito's case, he uses rinnegan powers, trading his own life as payment to the king of hell (the big mouth that they didnt show this time but did when nagato did it) to revive other people or person, but in guy's case, it's more like a side effect... so in theory, if guy had tsunade's hundred healings jutsu, he could use the 8th gate and be fine almost a 100 times longer and still not die... so if naruto heals both of them physically, then obito should still die but not guy... however obito has already been alive for too long, and will continue to live until the writers run out of uses for hi... the only argument that makes sense is that the hashirama cell, kept him alive for a bit, but that kinda contradicts the souls trade thing.
Obito will die because he revived madara. Hasnât died yet because he still has a good amount of residual six paths chakra from when he was ten tailâs jinchuriki. Thatâs whatâs prolonging his life. Think about how powerful six paths chakra is. Hagoromo is able to stay around earth as a spirit and give naruto and sasuke his power. And now he is physically manifesting in front of the reanimated hokage. So a prolonged life after using rinne rebirth isnât exactly a stretch.
He was unconscious up until this episode. But thanks to narutoâs ability, he was able to regain consciousness. And he may have prolonged his life more

You know Naruto and Sasuke had best chance of sealing kaguya after fooling her with sexy jutsu with Teleportation ability of Sasuke's Rinnegan with swaping place with Naruto clone instead of punching her. But nah we are at point of story where normal ppl can punch kaguay to seal her.
Tbh Kaguya had all chances to kill Sasuke and Naruto from start but plot restricted her.
And i think Naruto did revive him, and healing him in a sense is still revival if we see how he made his life force get stronger again With SixPath Yang seal. See it in way that Obito life force was weak but strong enough life force to survive long enough time that Naruto revived his life force to strong state like before. And it's again translation error. He did mention about reviving him somewhere, if i remeber correctly.
I think Zetsu being attached to Obito and then Obito being boosted by Hashirama cells and him also absorbing six path chakra from Jubidara gave his body enough time to stabilize enough to remain alive for some more time, but he got unconscious. But then Naruto stabilized his life force to level like normal.
Coz no matter how much OP Naruto was with SPSM+ SPS+KCM2+Six Path Yang seal. Naruto didn't had capabilities to revive a dead person for sure like even for temporarily. If that was possible he would have done that on Neji for sure to atleast talk with him peacefully last time.
