- Shoulda called it flop vs flop, in todays video game vs game returns in historical fashion to show everyone that 2 wrongs don’t make a right.
#saintsrowreboot #agentsofmayhem - Hry
I think AOM is underrated. It's just the universe which is set in.
I love the art style of AoM I’d love a game with that style but with full on character creation and customization like the main SR games
I did enjoy AOM. I wish it could have got a sequel. It probably would have got a better reception if they did not try to make it look like Saints row. It was its own Ip.
How did they try to make it a SR game? AoM was its own thing.
@@medalgearsalad1419 saints row characters, the purple fleur de lis, tons of references, I think he's not saying it's saints row 5 he's saying it just didn't have enough of its own identity
I like aom the way it is it's just PPL didn't understand it's connection to saints back then most PPL back then didn't even know red faction was also related to saints aswell look what they did with red faction well you asked for change it so it's not Sr there Volition did exactly as you wished so stop thinking they should have changed it so it wasn't like Sr you need to be run over and reversed on
@@NeoMoonSevinRed Faction was NEVER related to SR, it was literally just tongue in cheek easter eggs. Both devs have said this.
In my opinion, AOM would've been better with a coop story
And character customization
@@Sollavellon that too
AOM is still one of the most ambitious Volition games. I think its super underrated and way mkre fun than most.
Ngl I wish AOM succeeded so we could've had more SR characters. Hell it would be funny if it was still getting dlc we see the current saints as an Easter egg or something
I love Agents of Mayhem. If you like Borderlands, you'll love this game.
Its like I've always said; BOTH of these two games would've been so much better without the Saints Row branding on them. Agents Of Mayhem is crazy enough to exist in the crazy world of Saints Row, and The Saints Row Reboot could easily have been these awkward teenagers trying to start their own gang by stealing the 3rd street saints brand, only for the real saints to become their enemies, which would be such a cool contrast between old school gangsters and these new generation of gangsters
That's brilliant.
Saints Row Reboot is a terrible game regardless of if its part of the Saints Row franchise or not, and Agents of Mayhem is just a mediocre one. Technical issues aside, both are games with a generic artstyle, bland open worlds, unengaging stories, and painfully unfunny writing. They are both bad, but Saints Row Reboot is clearly FAR worse than Agents Of Mayhem.
New generation of gangsters?? They're just lame ass major cringe inducting characters
@@HAZZARD2099
I recently just started up a new playthrough on Agents of Mayhem (also it was literally on sale for a 1.30 with all dlc so why the hell not lol) and I'm overall having a better time than I did with the SR Reboot.
I used to think aom had a bad story but I think it's better than the reboot
Bro this was a great video. Enjoyed it throughout. Could you do a gta vs saints row comparison?
That'd be fun
awesome review
Saints Row's gunplay rely almost entirely on the auto-aim which is weird but i got used to it, so it doesn't feel too bad in my opinion. But as a whole I actually prefer Agents of Mayhem. I love the heavy focus on combat. The gunplay is much better. You can replay main missions with different characters and upgrades. You can't do that in Saints Row Reboot. I really like the Agents and the different animations and gameplay abilities they have. The game is action packed and never got old to me.
You couldn't do that in 3 or 4 either
Haven’t played AoM so I can’t speak on the hands on feel of it but I played the reboot and I know for a fact it’s the better game
i do feel like overtime with the reboot receiving all of these updates thus making the game better than what it could've been, then maybe in the near future some fans will start to grow fond of the game though not story wise because the story's pretty questionable but gameplay wise just as long as volition fixes the gameplay, then maybe it would make people a little more interested in it.
Saints Row reboots way better than ages of man.. well at least that's in my opinion but the fact is that ages of Mayhem is pretty much 100% more like Crackdown meets fortnite now don't get me wrong the game play was not bad and it was really good it's just a bit boring you can choose between other characters but you can't create your own character of your own and you can't go on crime sprees like you could with Saints Row so I definitely appreciate the reboot of Saints Row even though I didn't want to reboot in the first place.. all I ever wanted was a Saints Row to go against altar.. Red Faction like they did with Saints Row 2 but make it a lot bigger...but noooooo!.. it never happened LOL so much for dreaming
Honestly I like both. There's a lot missing from Saints Row, but I really enjoyed it. AOM is a lot of fun. But I found things a little repetitive.
I love combat loops and arenas so aom is great in that respect (especially playing it in a Quake or Doom style) and it's just as possible in Saints Row.
I really enjoy both stories tbh.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Now I'm a bit biased but I say agents of mayhem is better because I actually laugh at the jokes and I like the characters and at least stick to it's story meanwhile saints row 2022 jokes are amusing to say the least but never did I actually laugh out loud the characters are missed potential and the story feels rushed and disappointing but let's hope the dlc fixes it somewhat but the issue lies in the gameplay they are both outdated and Volition needs to upgrade
@@shaneross1217 we will don't worry !
The dlc didnt fix sh*t. Reboot is still worse than AOM.
This is a pretty bonkers comparison actually lol, but how else do you compare games like this
It's not the easiest to compare games both so different and similar but I tried to use categories I felt would cross over
Saints Row reboot vs Gat Out Of Hell would be an interesting one I think if there is one thing all SR fans can agree on is they are the worst 2 games in the series
Nah SR IV & SR GOH were the 2 worst by far, and both are the least Saints Row out of all the games in the franchise. The reboot has its faults for sure, but is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be, and when you cut past the cringe dialogue and less than likeable characters it still has that core Saints Row formula in terms of its gameplay while in free roam.
@@williamb1744the aiming ruins the reboot for me. I’ve enjoyed every single saints row and would probably enjoy the reboot too but that aiming is just awful. Is there any way to make it better at all?
Opening mission and after party was the best two missions
For $2 on sale, AoM is def worth it.
The characters in AOM are great! I wish some of that was in the reboot. Really want to play it but the writing is so damn bad that I got a refund.
I do like your points but I've always felt it was unfair to compare AOM to SR. Even the reboot, cuz AOM has the DNA of SR and is technically a sequel but isn't Saints Row. It wasn't trying to be. It's like comparing Dodgeball to Tennis some things are seemingly similar but ultimately unfair to compare because of design and preference.
Ah it's nothing objective, just a fun comparison to see which would be more worth the money to the player, as a saints row fan I'll lean on what that game offers but maybe aom fans wouldn't enjoy what SR has to offer as much
@@AJThirdStreet Oh yeah it's still a great comparison video. I'm happy to see that somebody made a good AOM/SR2022 comparison. You did it in a way that I wasn't expecting which I respect cuz like I said it's hard to compare the two when they are different.
AOM is a single player Overwatch but with the Saints it's as mid as it sounds...I would take an even crappier story with wacky mission design in a SR title than a hero shooter with a mid design any day
Agents of mayhem is more like crackdown. I don't know why people make the overwatch comparison. They're not even close to the same.
I don't compare them often despite them having some similarities like engine but Saints Row is better to me. Mainly because Saints Row has way more content in the game and things to do in the game while Agents of Mayhem suffers the issue of lack of content in the game(even being like 45-60 GBs) and because of this I spent way more time into SR than I ever have for AOM but I still would like to beat AOM someday.
The map is lot better in the reboot
I like agent's of Mayhem I purchased it on Xbox I think the problem was it was released to soon after saints row 4 gat outer hell if it was released a year after gat outer hell it may have changed the haters attitude towards it I don't understand why PPL hated this it is Saints row but it's the wish gat made at the end of gat outer hell that changed the timeline gat made a wish with Lucifer he was given 3 wishes each wish comes with an erasing of history leading upto the events of Saints 1 classic noone will know anyone it's a fresh start all over again aom is depicted in the wish as gat became a cop in his native land of Korea aom is this reality I would have loved to see what the other two wishes could have been but I think these were cancelled because aom was hated by idiots who ain't saints fans I hate GTA all of them it's Shertty but saints classic upto gat outer hell I am a fan I ain't a fan of the embracer saints they farkt the reboot up blame embracer for the way the reboot came out
Personally I like the new Saints row over agents of Mayhem I got extremely bored of agents of Mayhem within a day
I do agree Saints Row reboot is better but there's better games with some of those characters out there.
