Since no one read the video description or my website review, let me clear some stuff up:
1. I do not blame anyone for not buying AOM and I do not feel that it was an obligation for any SR fan to buy it. I personally think you dodged a bullet when it launched. My comments were directed towards people who were celebrating volitions demise while naively thinking they'd still be left with enough manpower to get the dream SR game they always wanted. We're still likely getting SR5 but it's only because volition barely survived. I've got more details but I'll have to save it for a future video.
2. Volition sent me this game because they wanted my feedback as a fan who has been playing their games for 10+ years. I showed off every single ugly side of this game I experienced, but I also wanted to give them positive feedback. To just ignore anything remotely good about this game would make me no better than a rando making a CZcams comment. They respected me enough to listen to my feedback, and I respected them enough to give constructive criticism that wasn't a rage-fest.
3. About the PC thing.. it's a bit of an in-joke. I still can't completely recommend AOM because I'm not convinced every bug was fixed and the game can become a grind quicker than you realize, but if you DO get a copy of the game... get it on the PC. Hopefully you'll see why soon :)
4. If you're a Saints Row fan, you should really join the Saints Row discord server. We're probably the largest group of Saints Row Super Fans out there and can answer any questions you have about the series. As of now, there are so many rants in this comment section that are just painfully wrong I'm not going to bother correcting them anymore. If you want to have a real discussion, you're better off going to the largest community there is: discord.gg/saintsrow

Thank you for the insight flippy i bought this game with no information not even a trailer just your first video on it i thought it was great for the first few minutes then i ran into issues as in the first time you fight hammond yea i couldint get past that part at all my save was broken i couldint do anything i was stuck indlessly fighting hammond so i stopped playing it and banned it from my life practically but this video inspired me to play it once more and god DAMN was it fun i had seen so little the game had to offer when it released that my expectations were extremely low and it was just a great game endless hours i had endless so i must say thank you flippy for this video

You guys and gals at Volition did a great game, with some flaws like repetitveness, but the fighting mechanics, the story, and the characters were all amazing and you should all be proud of that. I also loved it was Saints Row spinoff.
While im sure it will be hard, I would love to see a sequel that improves the original. And whatever you are planning in the future, that being saints row 5 or any other original game, im all in. Hopefully you all get back on your feet and can hire back some fo the lay off staff when your future game makes it big.

I know I'm way too late to comment on this, but I felt like this video was the reach. The truth is, and the truth that volition fans are ignoring, the game SUCKED. This is coming from someone who 100% the game, The concept of hero characters and stuff was good, but everything else sucked. Mostly the missions felt very boring and whenever brings this game up, I VIVIDLY remember copy-pasted ""dungeons"". I honestly think the biggest reason this game failed is due to the fact of how , aside from heroes concept, it was boring mess. I would compare it to Mafia 3, Good open world map with repetitive and uninteresting missions, unscripted as much as possible to provide "more freedom" to way you play at a cost of being.. well.. fun to play
I mean man, the game Is still fun regardless for me, the majority of the game revolves on shooting and combat, but it's something that Gameplay nails at it, it's super addictive, also the parkour Is Great, the cast of characters Is really unique and interesting, and Playing It now, the game Is polished and really good looking, i Wish they added more variability in the missions like in Saints Row 1 to 4 and a multiplayer,
but still, Agents Of Mayhem Is still 1000 times better than that shit that Is Saints Row 2022, Witch Is also a Repetitive Game but has horrible gameplay (especially gunplay), a lot of bugs and has the most atrotious Writing and Characters, Witch some of these are somethings that AOM did better somehow (Exept for the bugs, but as i'm playing It now, it's really polished)

Hopefully THQ Nordic will be just that or whoever owns THQ Nordic... Nice to see some what of their original publisher coming back to take over but I feel like they have to make a smashing hit if we want Saints Row to thrive again so we can just stick with Volition and give positive and constructive criticism. So hopefully if SR5 is the next installment it could be good all around for people who like SR 3 and 4 and people who like SR 1 and 2 because they can't go really go back to the original feel of SR 1 and SR 2 since many people also like the newer installments, but anyways I hope Volition will do well!

As someone who never got into saints row, bought this game while stuck in hospital, played it a ton during that time, I genuinely had fun and don’t remember much bad about it

Cornholio174 it’s been on sale multiple times, not just the vanilla game but the game including every dlc released. Are you missing anything, no actually it’s really repetitive than it should be. I forgot how many times I went through the same exact corridor with the same exact hacking mini game fighting the same exact enemies no matter how high the difficulty (even the final boss was just all the other final bosses reused except for one which was just a common enemy reskin).
Most characters I didn’t play because the gimmick was just not fun or a combination of characters was out right broken (Oni with Johnny Gat was basically a smooth sailing). And it was still glitchy in some areas, though it’s more graphical than gameplay.
I got it on sale for $15 with all dlc (AUD). It's alright. It's a sequel to gat out of hell? There are soft lock bugs which require you to restart the game. But it's fun... sort of. I really don't know how to review this one as it's fun most of the time, but it's not like saints row, it has saints row features, and it's buggy. It's sort of a parody on Marvels Avengers. Characters like Oleg are back but with the super power twist. I do recommend the game, I enjoy it. But reviewing it is hard. Still some bugs, but overall it is a stable game now, and enjoyable. Sorry with the worst sum up review of the game, but it's very love hate

Honest to god, as someone who followed saints row since saints row 1, I loved and still love playing AOM. Maybe not the BEST story, but the gameplay was so much fun imo, I can spend hours just running around the city with all the different characters🤷♀️🤷♀️ but I also knew early on it WASNT Saints Row and more-so a spin-off so I was content with it from day 1

I got this game years after its release for 5 bucks. It is...ok? I like the idea of the GI Joe style setup and stuff, but the characters all just come across as Burger King Kids Club stereotypes that are kind of grating. Dumb white guy, obnoxious roller derby lesbian, two flavors of tough black guy (military or gangster), football hooligan, and on and on. The story was interesting, but the gameplay burned me out. And the sidequest system is basically just Radiant Quests from stuff like FO4 where the game just endlessly recycles bland side content. I would have much preferred a limited number of far more interesting side content than endlessly repeating whatever content. The game also could have done without the Fleur de lis and it may have gone over a lot better and instead saved Johnny and Kenzie as like...secret Easter egg unlockables or something, giving this game more of it's own identity completely separate from Saint's Row. All-in-all, I like the IDEA of this game, and I wish there had been a sequel, but the more I play it, the less i could see myself justifying the 60 dollar price tag for what it ends up being: far too repetitive and the cast too shallow feeling. Perhaps if there were less characters that could do more things it would have felt better, because some of them feel redundant, but that's probably just a personal playstyle issue. Solid 5/10 game, definitely worth it to pick up and mess around with at such a reduced price, but ultimately ends up feeling like wasted potential.
This and SR reboot is the only volition games I never finished and abandoned it midway and never looked back again. You said this game makes you burnt out is so true, probably thats the main reason why I never finished it.

I just got AoM for $5 on Xbox One. It’s a fun game. I agree that I would never pay $60 for it though and it has tons of potential. The biggest mistake they made was not making this game multiplayer. That simple decision could have brought so many potential players. Even bad games are fun with friends.

I'm currently playing this via Game Pass on Xbox One, and it's on sale with ALL of the DLC for £7.20. I really want to buy it, even though people are very conflicted about it. For me, it's a lot of silly madness and ott fun.
I think it's easy for me to see it in that way, because I'd never heard of the game until earlier this year, and therefore had no expectations. I'm going to buy the game, because I'm enjoying it and if I go based on other people's negative vibes, I'll never give it a fair chance.

It was a rare thing that I 100% a game but AoM was one of those games I did. I even bought it at launch and regret nothing.
After seeing how the UPCOMING Saints Row will look like, I’m willing to tolerate Agents of Mayherm.

To be fair they did show him kind of late in the marketing campaign, but yeah, very misleading.
Lol the premise of the story of the game is that this is basically Johnny Gat's fantasy universe. After gat out of hell. A better way to put AoM is saying it is somewhat a spiritual successor, but in the form of a new IP.
Lady Wanderer The people who love Johnny Gat far, far, outnumber the tiny minority of people who don’t. hence why he was a huge part of saints row 4s story and was a preorder bonus for aom.

I swear to God you could switch out the video with the Saints Row reboot and cut the lines of OverWatch and Agents Of Mayhem and it would still be the exact same video because that's what the reboot is I'm trying to drag fans to a crappy new Saints Row using the Saints Row name for another reason then try to get old fans video came out in 2018 and still topical and correct

Remember when you couldn't go on any game trailer that had a cartoony style and a gun without seeing people call it a TF2 clone...including Overwatch 2 years before it's release. Strange how torches get passed.
Any person who even thought this game was an Overwatch clone deserves to get their eyes checked, aside from the cartoony look. It Had no similarities. OH BUT HERO SHOOTER! Sure, Overwatch is a TF2 clone then. Also 3d person shooters with cartoony looks existed way before both Overwatch and TF2. Still no excuse.

they should do AOM 2 and Saint's Row 5 and just do better to distinguish the 2 apart.
AOM is good on it's own as an original idea, but i can see why people were pissed about it being the real saints row 5 from the logo to the references and add-on's while they claimed "it's not saint's row 5."
perhaps they can do something that's in the same universe but not the same story. or they can make AOM 2 just be saint's row 5 and come up with some plot that the saint's row bought out agents of mayhem and now Johnny Gat is the leader and organizer of them and they just go from there.
that's just my opinion.
@Sexhale. You mean like spinoff? That could probably work. If they sell it as a spinoff story AND as a different gaming experience as a Saint's Row game.... That would've both explained the similarities and differences. Instead, no one knew exactly what the hell this was supposed to be.
Sexhaie it's simple just play off Gat's idea to restore earth as the retconverse for AoM, while SR5 sticks to the ending of finding the new world which gives them Jezzibel, Santa, and the Raptors added to their crew. People keep bitching about starting over. In my honest opinion let Volision keep progressing the story forward instead of forcing them to go backwards.
