I am writing this whilst on holiday in Northumberland. Today I visited Alnwick Castle with my wife and our infrared and conventional cameras. The Percy family of Northumberland are distant ancestors of mine, so I can appreciate the thrill that that Mrs C feels with her newly discovered information. Enjoy your infrared camera as much as we do. Keep up the good work. We always appreciate you sharing your adventures with us.

Simply an awesomely brilliant video; I love the playfulness between you and Mrs. C and shows me that artists don't have to be loners to be good at their trade; your images a always wonderful! Y'all take care out there and be safe....

Fabulous video once again Paul, and it was so nice to see Mrs. C. Out with you, you were honoured lol. Your photos were belters even the infrared ones although I am not too keen on them normally the one you showed at the end was an absolute stunner. Saying that I think you got some great colour photos there, those mountain shots were super. Thanks for sharing with us all, it’s great to see you trying new things with the infrared, nice one! 😁👍

Then, we are cousins of some sort, from way over here in the USA (Alabama). All of my ancestry comes from the Isles, back to Normandy, Scandinavia, …..including William, Rollo, and others. Someday I’ll visit (I hope) England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland to touch 92% of my ancestral homelands.

Videos by couples work best on youtube - Got an infrared filter and a spare camera or six, so interesting to watch. Know the location, but doubt I could be bothered to video and post on this platform

    Awesome video!
Really fun watching you two going out together in such an awesome place :D
The infrared is really something else. Hopefully I can convince my Mrs. for an extra camera with that sensor :D
But I really loved the color captures from X-T4, that subtle contrast and the hue of the greens was perfect!
Cheers my now dear Vikings :D

Great to see Mrs C out with you. Your impression of a jet fighter going through the valley was excellent! IR definitely give a different look.

so did I Paul inspired by TH too (my X-T1 to 720nm) and yes its wow :) using the 35mm f2, the 23mm f1.4 and the 16mm f1.4 - no hot spots on any of the 3 - great results but am tending towards the 23 at the moment :)

Great video Mr and Mrs C (the Viking no less !). Looking forward to seeing your next visit to the Faroe Islands. Will you be shooting more IR there?

I still can't make my mind up about Infrared. Might buy some IR film and give it a go. The big advantage is that it cuts down haze but as a UV filter goes half way there with B&W and pushing the film (underexpose and overdevelop) you're, to the untrained eye, in the same ballpark .... as I said I'm undecided and not speaking from experience. Seen some cracking shots of standing stones with IR film which might just get me to go for it.
BTW I'm directly related to the last Viking King of Dublin.
Always a joy to see Mrs C.

If I ever upgrade my digital camera I will convert my old one to IR. I have 720nm IR filter that I've used with film and it is awesome. Did you use Uk service for the conversion?
