- Academy Award winning actor, Christoph Waltz, rejoins Quentin Tarantino for his western action film, Django Unchained. The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie and Jamie Foxx as Django. Waltz portrays bounty hunter and former dentist, Dr. King Schultz. Schultz offers Django an offer he cannot refuse. In exchange for his help in hunting down the Brittle Brothers, Schultz will grant Django his freedom and help him rescue his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington).
Django Unchained will be released on Christmas day 2012.
This is clearly a man who is trapped in his own mind... Insecure and annoyed with his surroundings, but tries desperately to express his thoughts; the symptoms of a genius. I love this guy.

***** You will always live within the bound(arie)s of anything. Society, universe, you name it. I think your hero Hawking is aware of this fully - since he is bounded to his chair in the first place. I don't understand where you are coming from - for me an actor can be genius the same as quantum physicist or pharmaceutical prodigy. Different fields only. I mean we should be really glad for people like Christoph in this era where majority (read: half-idiots) seem to dominate the world and all what's in it - like movies.

Ikr he has the most softest voice
In German-language interviews, his language is extremely elaborate, but also concise and elegant in a way. Austrians have a reputation for that, but he takes it one step further. If you ever happen to see any interview with him from German-language TV, look at the person interviewing him - more often than not, especially in smaller or more tabloid-like shows, they clearly have to concentrate very hard to follow him. Which makes it even more fun when his character talks the same way :D

I love Quentin´s movies and his own way how he makes the movie. Christoph is brilliant and hopefully there will be some more of Tarantino-Waltz co-op in the future.

You can't be an idiot and successfully interview this guy. He's challenging, he's really present, he's clever and doesn't just spout off with the sound bites and hype. He truly listens and takes in the questions and takes them seriously. This makes him somewhat unique in the field.

Christoph Waltz is one of the most eminently likable actors currently working. Funny, deep, intelligent. And on top of that, he speaks 5 fucking languages.

I could see Christoph Waltz playing The Mad Hatter in one of the films in a Dark Knight spinoff trilogy that takes place some years after Rises and focuses on Robin John Blake as Nightwing. I think he would be Great and possibly be up for a third Oscar nomination!

He's just well spoken & thoughtful about his answers. Also unlike most Hollywood actors he formulates fresh, unique answers on the spot and attempts to actually interact with interviewers in a human conversational way instead of using the same robotic stock answers. What you brought up isn't a contradiction at all. He wants to leave his characters to viewer's own interpretations & he thinks people go to see themselves metaphorically (i.e. their own impression and interpretation of the movie).
