If there's no video from Rodney, I always have a moment of "do I REALLY want this game?"
For the heavier games which Rodney rarely touches, I go to Nithrania

Put two fingers over the closing, slide them along the closing in opposite directions, and the closing will split at the sides on their own due to this, making it easy to open without tearing them apart.

I only play cooperative games, so I always share victories.

Dear Paula, you are amazing. These are the exact same things a board gamer experiences and you have presented them so well in all your videos. This makes me feel the board gaming community to be even more closer.
Opening the box and finding the pieces and cards in disarray really resonated with me. That's probably my single biggest board game nightmare lol.

One of my favorite things to do upon getting a new game is breaking out my box of Ziploc bags and redistributing the contents more efficiently.

I know everyone likes to store their games vertically like books so I used to and I hated the experience of opening any box to find all the components slumped to one end, bowing boards, and with the cheaper boxes the way that they spread at the top over time while standing on end. I'm in horizontal land now, even though it's not as OCD-beautiful externally, it is on their insides.
Same. It's literally like buying a cake in a box and then laying it on a side..
I played a video game where the main character is always saying 'things are getting dicey!', so I came into your video already smiling. This video can be most enjoyed by those of us who truly have experienced, over and over, every single one of these frustrations. Thanks for putting a smile on my Monday face! :)
First time watching and they all hit home! The only thing missing is needing a few more sleeves or sleeved cards not fitting in the box

Great stuff - some very relatable ones. In the same realm would be organising a night for a specific number of players for a game that requires precisely that number and then someone ends up joining....exceeding the player count 🥺

The torn / bent cardboard standee: Oh the agony and its never the same... and getting the box bottom stuck in the top is a regular occurence- except its usualy full of cards, pieces, coins - turning it upside down is not an option!

Wow, nothing but pure facts! Any game that says 'share the victory' is house ruled immediately... I've never heard such absolute nonsense. Win or lose, no sharing. Period.
The no Watch it Played video had me 🤣 I spend more time looking for how to play videos than it would take me to read the rulebook 😅 Also, trying to fit games on the shelf is an actual disaster
My biggest board game disaster... many years ago I purchased a game at a convention, brought it home, only to realize that all of the cards and rules were in German.

Always figured that if I made a board game, in the case of a tie after all the conditions were checked, then the winner would be the last place player, because the rest of you thought you were so damn smart.

The worst is when I get everything nicely organized, tip the box on its side to put it back on the shelf, and hear half the components slide down and rattle around. Just thinking about the horror that awaits next time I open the box...it's spine-chilling. 😅

Cutting away right at the screaming of "Nooo!" I appreciate as the rest of the video is calm and quiet. Plus, without that cathartic release, it ends with me still reeling from each disaster.
My pet peeve: When stickers don't align EXACTLY (especially the case in legacy games)

I felt real pain when the box was slightly larger than the shelf space. Have lost count of the times that has happened to me. Great video and striking home quite often.
Sadly I'm usually that guy. I am often the person placing a meeple or drawing a card ahead of a player who was going to take the same action I did.
