    I really like the format of this video series. I have seen Nomos ( only in pix ) and i'm not certain they are my style, but now i realize that they are a well made watch at a pretty good value, thx.

    Don't own one, but love the Ludwig (35mm) - the roman numerals feel classy and timeless.

    Nomos Tangente 38. Clean, simple design with in-house Alpha caliber. Bauhaus design. Very comfortable to wear. One of my favorite watches in my collection.

    I have a Nomos Tangete 38. Love the watch. One thing I would advise is that their lugs are quite long and worth trying them before buying. On my 17cm wrist, the Tangete 38 just about fits.

    Hard to pick a favorite, like them all. Own a Tangente; but will add a Club Campus soon. A very young company, early Susanne Gunther designs launched them to success.

    I have a Nomos Orion 35mm made in 1999 I noticed that mine doesn’t say Made In Germany. Is this because the movement was not made in Germany yet? Could be that it is using the Peseux movement made by ETA?

    • @JimIBobIJones
      @JimIBobIJones Před 8 měsíci

      The alpha was made mid 2000s so yours is going to be a peseux. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing as although the alpha was made in house, they cloned much of the peseux design so that the movements have the same specs.
      This was so they didn't have to retool or adjust their other components - the dial, case,hands etc on the ETA and Alpha versions of the same watches are identical.
      Unless you have a display back, you really aren't missing out on much.

      @@Chrono24Official Great question. The Club, Orion and Zurich have a case design that has a bit of pop. I get it, each brand has their niche but a sport watch say 40-41 mm may be some texture, a little lume and a ss bracelet and then with the colors they like to incorporate and the thinner case design. Just a thought. Enjoy your watches.
