zorrin os is my favorite, great build!!
Zorin looks really clean! Do you play games on it?
Gamerock cards are so pretty :D
They are! But it's almost too much RGB for me with those cards
Was this recorded on 3.22? Seems like it is. Might have to do another video for 3.23 with the vulkan data! :D
It was 3.22 yes. I hope Vulkan would provide some improvement around cities. I'll test it when I get the chance, preferably on PU in a few days ;)
Any chance you could post a new link to their discord?
I updated the link in the description, hope it works now!
As someone who doesn't really have a pressing use case to learn Linux, Was SteamOS not an option in this case, or was it just a matter of preference? [again, realizing you may need a Linux build with different feature sets] [Edit: Reading is fundamental :P ]
I honestly never looked at Steam OS. I dont even know if it has normal Desktop PC features.
I would atleast need that for my day job
That's a pretty impressive performance. I'm THIS close >||< from dropping windows forever and going unix, however 90% of the reason why I have a PC is my Steam library spanning 15 years. In your experience, how "annoying" is it to get games in general to work? I'm in IT so I'm no stranger to configuring and troubleshooting, i just don't look forward to it anymore xD
Check protondb for the games. Most games run except competitive shooter because of the anti cheat.
Also you'll have to switch applications which can be a hassle, like adobe alternatives.
Its a great experience. I've hoped back and forth a lot
Getting games to work can be very easy! I always check protondb first, then use Steams Proton and done.
Others (like star citizen) need some more work. Most communities have guides though
