I was very excited when I saw the color and sheen of this lovely piece, but when I got closer, I was a little disappointed to discover that it wasn't the vintage piece I thought..... lets go thrifting and find out what they are.

Went thru that w/relative, couldn't go into dr's exam room and leave her in waiting room because she'd wander out. Its a tough life. If there's an Area Agency on Aging or a nursing home near they may have meetings open to all to give advice. You have my sympathy and prayers.

Wow! That hat by Mr. John brought back memories because my grandma used to work for Mr. John in New York City, I have many of her original hats, labels and postcard Christmas greetings they used to send out. Mrs. Eisenhower used to buy only hats made by my grandma! What a fantastic find!

I remember some of Mamie's hats tho she wasn't photographed like Eleanor or Jackie. No lady went out w/o wearing a hat and frequently gloves.
That little picture of London brought me back 30 years, to a visit to Paris. In the Musée d'Orsay, there were a particularly beautiful painting of London by Monet. It brought tears to my eyes.

The LOVE plaque is a vintage Homeco 1970's product, which also came in FAITH. The claw picture hanger was used in the 1970's, they were also sold in picture hanging kits.
I had the LOVE plaque when I was a child. I’m 48 now. I’d say it’s vintage. 😊
My girls in their 40s had that plus more coordinating I think.
That washroom sign isn't vintage, my mother has one hanging in her laundry room lol. She bought it in the early 2000s at some mass-market home decor store. EDIT: wait a second......is the early 2000s vintage?!?. Oh man I'm old. 😅

Hi Tiffany!! Right when you are putting the carnival glass in the cart, I saw what I think is a beautiful trinket box , creamy white with a Orange ribbon on top, a really pretty piece of limoges. If it is that ,it may be worth going back for. I just love mine!

Where I live (in Rock Hill, SC) we have a Goodwill, a Hospice Thrift Store, and a few Christian thrift shifts. My Aunt, My Husband and I go make a day of it. It’s a lot of fun. I wish you had Goodwill Stores there. They also do good work to help people with resumes, they teach computer classes and work with social services to help people with resumes and working in their stores.
I live in the Netherlands, that is closer to you. More than enough thriftshops.

We have 7 hummingbird feeders and they still get territorial with them! Around sunset, our yard is filled with the little fellows darting in all directions. They are such fun to watch.
The female hummingbirds chase the males away from the feeder. They're bossy little buggers!
Put a red hat on and stand close to the feeder they'll come so close to your face you'll feel the wind from their wings, and they sound like little jet planes. At my parents house we would get 12 or more hummingbirds buzzing our face.
Anderson's Pea Soup restaurant is in Santa Nella, CA and is in Central California. It's a fun place to eat as there is nothing much around there till you get to Fresno. Solvang is by Santa Barbara but you were close. Solvang, CA is amazing at Christmas time & I highly recommend it! Santa Barbara is fantastic. Love Your videos Tiffany. They are so nicely made.😊💜

I always wondered when items are donated, where do all of the lids go? That would be frustrating with no lids. Thank you for teaching us all what we need to know.
I think the missing lids are probably why they got donated to begin with. Break the lid and the piece isn’t usable for its intended purpose.

There're sometimes cute lids w/objects on top (frequently cork) that I wonder about. I recently bought a small one topped w/pink-filled martini glass, orange slice and tiny pineapple. I'm looking for an appropriate bottle.
I've been using USPS Parcel Select Ground instead of Priority and they are being delivered just as fast but it's a whole lot cheaper. I pack my pieces very well as it is so I'm not getting any "broken refunds".
I understand that people take things without paying. With or without a blanket in their cart. So I don’t see why you can’t use your Thrifting Vegas Blanket and just take it completely out after you empty your cart. Just so they are happy. It’s so nice to keep things cushioned ….

Suggest you go to blanket area and use one for your cart so your items won’t get chipped or broken when you go to a store that won’t allow you to bring your blanket in.

I found 2 dirty and dusty Fenton Candy bowls over the weekend at a monster garage sale. other people just passed by them, they didn't notice them because they were dirty. They cleaned up beautifully and no damage at all. so happy! I so love garage sales, you never know what to expect. such treasures!

I walked into a Goodwill in Fla. and the first thing I saw was a white McCoy planter with a floral piece in it. I bought it for $3

I wanted to let you know that that metal candle holder that you're calling with the cobalt blue decorations and picture frame it actually originally had a cigarette lighter in it. However you now have given it a new life.
That wooden bowl with the elephant is from Africa ! They are light in weight because of the wood. It is carved by hand therefore this is why it is light! The wood needs to be carved easily. Now the paint is not paint. it is shoe polish of different colors. If you were to buy this bowl in the street markets in Africa, you would pay between $10 to $20. But if you were to buy this at an airport, you would probably pay $30 to $50! Hope this helps you with the next time that you see like this! Oh, the signature on the bottom is of the person who made the bowl. A person from Africa can most likely tell you which country it came from just by the artwork on it!
Omgoodness, an epic shopping extravaganza! How exciting. So many wonderful treasures to look through. I was just sure you would uncover a delightful piece of art glass. Not this trip but those candle sticks and the Waterford wine bottle coaster were just as good. I really like them. I was surprised as to the difference once you washed off all the built up grime for us to see the real thing…quite lovely. My very favorite pickup this trip was the awesome ladies felt hat. I could imagine how elegant it would make a woman in the 30s-50’s look. It was simply lovely.

Love those lamps. Lucky girl. I would love to see them with tall, skinny, red, conical shades. We did this with three tall, elongated, unusual lamps and they look fabulous.

You made a statement about not being put of by something that was real grubby. I once bought a glass aqua blue two sided dish that was used as an ashtray. I bought it at a flea market, and it was totally nasty, but it cleaned up great!

The more glossy a carnival piece is usually means it's newer in most cases. There are some marigold vases that are old. The older carnival will have a more matte type finish but a deep, deep carnival color.

At 23:46 I think there was a glass vase that was upside-down with silver cap on bottom. It is lead crystal but it has a silver base that has three legs that the vase sits on.
My daughter lives in Illinois she finds the best things at their Goodwills and so cheap,I live in MO ours is very pricey!
I first enjoyed the Pea Soup Andersen's in Carlsbad CA in 1991 when I was stationed at Naval Hospital San Diego. It's been gone for many years now unfortunately. Good soup, great memories.
