We've had record breaking temperatures here in Las Vegas this week, the temperature guage in my car has read as high as 117! Thank goodness for air conditioning!! Its Friday night and I am at the Goodwill at Rainbow and Cheyenne. I have my reuseable shopping bags and Thrifting Vegas blanket, and the shelves are so full of treasures that I can't fill my cart fast enough!! For those who don't know,you might let them know that they make little Rubber sleeves you can put on the bottom of those votives to keep them stable.
A sturdy rubber band works just fine too.
They call them rubber grommets for votive peg lughts
I use a fat rubber band. The rubber sleeves split after a while.
The 4 Christmas ornaments are by WillieRay studios. The girl riding the goose is about $15. Willieray studio is very collectible. Also I love watching your thirfting hauls. I learn so much. Thank you!
Yes those are Willieraye Studios! I actually babysat for them. They were lovely people! She unfortunately has since past. Yes they are very collectable.
I prefer clear glass. Because if you place something colourful inside it will make it unique and it can be changed. 😃
Scrapbooking is definitely still “a thing” amongst those of us who want to creatively preserve life’s memories!

It's so hard to believe little baby Rio is already such a big girl! I think I understand why you drive such a distance to bring her home. Those puppies are just AMAZING in their confidence, demranor & glowing HEALTH! I've never seen more wonderfully calm, sane & well-behaved German shepherds-and these are still just pups. Incredible.
Quite a lot of that depends on the owner and how they raise them. 👍
The hook attachment on the back of the bird isn’t backwards. The nail head would go into the the larger opening at the bottom and then slide up to the narrower part to keep it in place.

I’ve been looking for the Avon flamingo bottle but I’ll keep looking for my own at a bargain price. I take the more unique bottles and paint them with pretty colors of nail polish to bring out the details. So far I’ve done the mermaid, the seahorse and the peacock. Upcycling is my passion. 😊
My grandmother used to collect Avon bottles and would fill them with water and food coloring then put them in her bathroom windows. I like your idea of painting them too.

I had to smile when you found the "Courting Couple" plate. I inherited several pieces from my late mother-in-law. THEN, I found a small set for $20 at a yard sale amd have collected numerous lone pieces over the years. Many companies used the same transfer in the 50's and used their own gold designs on their plates. When I get them all together, Martha Stewart can eat her heart out!

We always pick up clear candle.holders and other clear glass. We sell a lot of it. Especially the homecoming fairy lights in clear and amber. We have one in the original box to list. Don't remember if it is colored or clear. Reselling is fun!

Beautiful haul. I love the crystal star! I am a huge fan of clear crystal. It was really big in the 80s, when I first fell in love with it, and I have no doubt it will be back in a big way eventually. My collection has been whittled down over the years , but I have held on to a few pieces, especially my Waterford.

I use clear glass mixed in with my milk glass. I love the cut crystal designs with the white or cream milk glass

You need to let folks know or the buyers of the peg candle holders that they need to buy the rubber gaskets that go around the pegs to secure them. If they don’t have the gasket then any bump or movement they’re going to fall out and break.
Tiffany, I still scrapbook and make cards. There are a lots of us out here that do. I know the fad boomed in the early 2000’s , but is still very popular.

The votives with the little stem were sold at home parties. There were scones and other holders. From the eighties. As mentioned in another comment, there are rubber bands to put on to keep them steady. 😊

I used to be a Home Interiors distributor. The brass candleholder is from Home Interiors. To make the tea light holder will stay better if you wrap a rubber band around the peg then it will be sturdy. We used sell rubber rings to put on the peg

I think that people do still scrapbook. I’ve done well with stickers and other scrapbooking items when I can find them in lots since they don’t necessarily sell for a ton of money by themselves. Recently, I bought a huge lot of stickers and scrapbooking items for like $7. I sold one item in there for $15 free shipping within 24 hours and the rest has been profit.

I have to add on the bottom of those candle holders there was a rubber piece that was on them so that they stuck down in the holder and stayed in place

At 32:17 I see a Franciscan apple cream and sugar set. They had taped the sugar bowl lid onto the top of the creamer. Nice set.
The ornament that says "Door County" may be from Wisconsin. We have a very large "thing" with that county in our state. Maybe wrong didn't see what was in the center.
I have been looking for the fairy light top. I inherited the bottom. It was beeing used as trinket dish. I use mine in spare bath to set paper towels in. It's a shame I'm in south Texas. Love watching you. ❤.

Tiffany, those candle holders are should to have a ribbed rubber thing that goes on them. They are Home Interior.
You picked up one on this trip that had the ribbed rubber around it. It keeps them from moving around or falling off.
If you soak the acorns in dish soap water overnight it should slide the sticky tape of and not pull the finish off

Yes, scrapbooking is still a thing. There is a very healthy scrapbooking community online. I still enjoy the hobby. However, I look for new products and not so much older donated items. Always looking to keep my new pages looking fresh and current.
There were two party glass candle holders with brass connected in swirls and I think the candles come out of the bottom and sit on the top of the rings. They were in front of the silver one that you put with the other taller one.

Yes, I still scrapbook. Sadly, the scrapbook only supply stores are all closed (in Utah). Now the supply sources are on line, or Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Joann's and they are high priced.

That large brass floral wall hanging... many times the stones used for the leaves and petals are jade... and are very valuable! Were those parts stone? Or painted metal? I couldn't tell.
