What happens as the tide comes in is... you are forced further and further up on the beach.... and up there... the sand is softer than the area further out at low tide... the reasons being... 1. The sun drys it out and it gets soft. 2. The area only covered at high tide, out has the weight of the water to compact it for as short time, as opposed to the area further out that is covered by the water most of the time. You did an awesome job keeping that Harley moving as long as you did!!! I have gotten 4 wheel drive ATV’s stuck doing the same thing trying to beat the tide... tide always wins :)

For the world's first riding a Harley on the beach you have done pretty damn good mate, shame you got the injury but you would have to be proud with that effort you probably made it further than most blokes in their 4wds.

MDB, don't listen to the haters and negativity. I see it as entertainment for the viewers and an adventure for yourself. There's a guy in the U.S. (Dave Barr) who in 1994, (I think) took a 1972 or 73 Harley Super Glide around the world. Started in Cape Town and circumnavigated the globe by himself. It was for disabled veterans and just the adventure. Live your adventure. We only get one.
