Cardiff has now sold itself out to international finance and the city's identity has been lost as the majority of locals have left, (including me).Not the working class city it was 10 years ago, honestly I rarely visit now, even though I live only 20 miles away in Bridgend, if I need to do shopping I usually go to Swansea. It is what it is. I still have fond memories of the three decades I lived there. Thanks for the footage.
@demonhalo67 I'm still in Cardiff though dawg! Yeah I think it started going down hill about 20 years ago. They really like ripping up bits of the city unfortunately and some places are borderline no go zones, especially at night.
I visited Cardiff for the first time a few weeks ago. What a disappointingly sketchy, edgy place I found it to be. I had to check my plane ticket to make sure I was actually in Wales, if you know what I mean.
Clever how you have had the past fading away as the present comes to the fore. They didn’t have much in the past but what they did have was a sense of community which is sadly lacking today. Great video.
Can you please make an video a video of Bargoed?. A former mining town in the South Wales valleys. 17 miles from Cardiff, 8 miles north of Caerphilly. There's a Christmas event there on the 9th of December and it would be absolutely wonderful if you could capture this as I'm not able to do it as I'm in Poole, Dorset until January.
Celtic Druid unfortunately I am unable to get to Bargoed on that date as I will be away from home. Sorry As a consolation I have subscribed to your channel.
Bring back the old days… So much for progress..! Electric trams.. we are only now getting electric trains at a massive expense to the tax payers.. and only on some lines…. If it’s not broke… don’t fix it… 😒
