Season of Discovery has blessed us with a unique meta centered around Mutilate. The Mutilate ability not only does a ton of damage, it also generates double the amount of combo points as other combo point builder abilities. This in combination with the new pvp abilities and skills were getting as a result of being level 40 means the rogue class is very formidable in battlegrounds, the stranglethorn vale blood moon event, world pvp, and duals.
Even if youa aren't interested in the STV Event, this guide has so much consolidated information, you'll for sure be able to learn something and apply it to your gameplay or at the very least, compare your talent choices with those of the meta builds and specs in phase 2. We review PSHero, Payo, Bobka, Perplexity, Shobek, Amazous and others and see how they differ, as well as how they as what talent points they overlap with. Although they all seem to agree on an extremely similar pvp rune setup with Mutilate, Between the Eyes, Quick Shot, Shadowstep and Master of Subtlety.

great combo of the other rogue videos talents.
Something to note is that AMBUSH is 100% crit whenever enemy is sitting down, without the talent.
which is when you want to ambush priests (without shield) and mage (without shield) who are drinking.
Missing from all the rogue videos are also timing the opener on the energy tick you can ambush into a gouge then restealh then open again if you are good.

If I had to guess I would say that Javier guy is probably "The one who shall not be named." Pretty much every single class guide I've seen from him is either largely inaccurate or simply regurgitating information he has no actual knowledge of. The comment sections of the guides are more helpful than the videos themselves because it's usually full of people who actually know what they're talking about refuting the talking points in the video lol.
I accidentally got top comment on his "warrior guide". I was being nice but its clear the guy has never played warrior in vanilla and he just gathered info about the class from a bunch of random vanilla sources

His guides suck but it's not him. I know the guy in question it's a smaller channel the guy whispers when he talks, touts himself as some sort of rank 1 rogue but his build is dogshit. Thinks serrated blades is a huge damage gain worth giving up imp sap.

undead is bis cuz aesthetic ofc, also fear is a real bitch for rogue even with pvp trinket. A lot of fights can be lost if you aren't able to break 2 fears. Jus my opinion ofc.
I have bladeflurry mutilate spec for the stv zerg, it's very very similar to the triple spec at 2:54. It hits like an 18 wheel juggernaut truck. Used with the rune that gives you 10% damage out of stealth I can crit three mutilates in a row for almost 800 dmg each in three seconds if I time the energy tick right. I have been lucky and have very good gear due to winning most rolls for gnomer gear. I don't really bother with stuns...
Care to link the build boss? Been wanting a zurg build. Running around stealth is boring and when u can't stealth ur dead.

What's the stat prio for pvp now that we don't use Deadly Brew,agi>stam>ap?
So, I have been having general issues in pvp, and even pve to an extent regarding both dmg and survivability. My question is do you think this is more of a gear or build problem?
I have almost full pre Bis except for the fact I am using two hypnotic blades, which kind of suck. My talents are also fully pve oriented, so an instant poison envenom build.
For pvp do I have to go for a pvp build and change my talents every time I do pvp content, or can an envenom build work for pvp and it is mainly my daggers that are causing a dps issue? My usual pvp experience is that I stunlock the person and get obliterated the moment the stun goes away. I am talking 2 - 3 shot, and I just can’t do enough dmg in that time to kill most players.

Forgot to respec after raid and was far away from city to i had to pvp with my raid spec. Hitting 1100 dmg envenoms was actually kinda nasty.

That's what I've been playing - Absolutely crazy burst but sometimes don't have the utility to lock somebody out long enough
pve spec is big dmg, the problem is you gotta play with dots. Can't blind or gouge anyone with dots on em. rip
Wouldn’t getting 50% offhand weapon damage be the highest mutilate damage build ?
What addon are you using to change your character models? Night elf on horde with 60 gear etc

I like how my talents ain’t nothing close to those builds or my runes and fear sir that matter. I like to depend on procs a lot so my build utilities my crits and stuns with energy returned hopefully after 4 combo points. 9 times out of 10 I get straight kills. Cheap shot. Mutilate x1 kidney shot ( return energy proc) and finish with multilate x2. I crit on every hit.

what do you mean with getting 5 combo points off of quickshot with sinister strike? because cheap+mutilate+quickshot gives 4 and then you sinister strike to get the 5th?
because cheap+mutilate+quickshot give 5 but imp sinister qive you reduce energy cost of quickshot.

I went into dual spec 5/5 my offhand mutilate hits almost identical to my main hand my mutilate is hitting clothies for 800-900

@@aleksandarmijic6406 Its a Quick Draw rune and its benefit from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Sinister Strike. So you open target with cheap and use one mutilate its 4 combo and if he stun you or frost nova or blink you can have energi to cast quick draw then Between the Eyes 5sec stun to close gap

find that serrated blade is way more worth it, i personally find that taking serrated blades while using energy saving talents for 1v2 or 1v3 situation is extremely useful. it just depends on each players different analysis on diffrent pvp situations and what they can utilize best in those situations. but i can understand the criticism OfCourse, everyone has different methods and play styles :) 3:11 was my build ^^
I thought that was your build, I used it and it's not bad tbh. Only thing I say it's better to use walay rune. Other than that your build has worked wonderfully for me

@bigybop just checked his talents on his channel I see no issue with it. Screw improved sap why do i need to sap and waste my energy when I can just burst my target to death? Arena stories is right on this one
It's funny to see different answers in the comments about where I got the mystery spec from.
I totally get everyone wants to play their own way, the mystery, Payo, Azamous and triple specs all show some flavors of that, but I think seeing so many of these personal, custom, unique and niche specs being mislabeled as THE META helped me understand the intense frustration around this content from the community, and let me shift the video style to more of a spectrum rather than a correct answer like you see in PvE.
Why do people put improved sinister strike instead of lightning reflexes ? I dont get it we dont use sinister and it doesnt benefit to Mutilate

Subtlety tree has most of the talents that are actually useful for rogue pvp. Rogues do a shit ton of damage but their strength is the sheer number of tools we have to turn fights in our favor and increasing stealth to get the opener on people and automatically give ourselves the edge in fights.
You can use a 5/21/5 build in stv for BF muti spam. It has lower utility as you can imagine but has ALL the muti damage talents and you can burst down people in the zerg really fast

Because it reduces the cost of quick shot as well and he's running that. I say that in the video.
The fact that you have shobeks talents in here removes all credibility of your video. Shobek is just a "guy" that plays rogue and has done nothing in WoW.
