I would do Garrot as opener with Carnage and then spam in the Mutilates. I also pref Lethality over things like Off-Hand spez for the quick fights.

Honor among thieves work on your crits. It makes mutilate a 3 cp ability, it feels extremely smooth to play with.
Simonize, why Seal Fate instead of hit chance??
I imagine its going to be useful to have a 2nd build for cleave fights.
Are we assuming we arent the player applying Expose Armor? i was under the impression that 46 Expose Armor + Improved makes rogues the de facto shredder?

So we're def sure its 4-5 combo points for envenom instead of always forcing 5? I remember seeing you always want 5 for it and some people in comments are asking same thing
Question about envenom timing. Should I be spamming it as soon as I get 4 or 5 combo points depending on my luck, or should I wait until 60 energy?
Basically, do I do the two mutilates and then instant envenom, or wait until I can envenom and then mutilate twice immediately after?
Pool some energt first. You want to use your Mutilates while the Envenom buff is up. 2 mutilates is 4 more chances to apply poisons, so it benefits a lot to have Envenom up if possible. Just watch out you don't cap on energy (if using Combat Potency).
Not sure when you dump combo points if using Honor Among Thieves.
is 2 points murder worth it over 2 points in lethality? esp in the carnage set up? seems like that extra 12% crit damage (especially with the 30% mutilate crit in combat) is just gunna scale for more damage than 2% flat damage
In the cut to the chase set up, you need the two points in murder to get the next tier of talents
For the carnage setup you'd be right with the 45 - 50% chance to crit with mutilate, which would be a 8 - 9% increase in damaage, which would compete
Remember, murder also affects your poisons and white damage too, which are a huge chunk of your dps
Honor among thieves with a mage healer in your group would be super strong
Does multilate trigger remorseless attacks ? It was bugged in the past that it doesnt worl correct and remorseless attacks wont be triggered by multilate.

which points would be remove if you would be on exposed armor duty in the cut to the chase build? 4% less poison apply or 8% crit dmg?

Hommunclus probably still does the same amount i dunno. I havent looked but I just assume so
question: it sounds like you use envenom at 4 stacks to avoid overcapping with mutilate. can you confirm? wasn't sure if i should always be going for 5 combo points no matter what.
never send another mutilate if you have 4 points always will be a loss of dps in the long run send a envenom at 4 and then rebuild just try and save Cold blood for a 5 point

Is there a way to sim only sending 5pts I’d like to test it withdrew t griefing a boss fight to check

@@svviftghost as I thought you send the mutilates and you either get 4 or 5 but sending another mutilate when your at 4 is generally a loss as it’s wasting a combo but I deff can see in some niche situations for sure

Interestingly, your talent spec is different from what has been discussed in Discord as far as damage output for the SIM
he mentions that this cut to the chase build is remarkably simple and he will use it in the first raid lockout because he wants to be able to focus on what the new bosses actually do and not have to pay attention and micromanage his rotation. Might be due to that.

Does "Party" for honor among thieves, mean raid wide?
No
nope it means in you 5 man group of the raid
Is it just me or does the Honor among Thieves rune not work properly? 3 hours in a group of 5 without any additional CP, also tested with another rogue with HaT and still nothing.
Tried multiple times with other rogue hitting Cold Blood + Mutilate, still 0 additional combo points

If you play Barman Shanker with carnage rune, you will proc barman shanker's bleed all the time and benefit the 20% damage without doing a single rupture or garrot. Plus I simmed Barman Shanker in mainhand, and its "only" 20dps under the bis epic dagger...
Edit : I wrote Shanker x2 forgetting it was mainhand ,🤣
does a weapon proc count as a "rogue bleed"? Ive always wondered this with the Gnomer dagger - if its poison counted as mine and increased my mutilate damage

Weird how nobody is talking about or even thinking about using serrated blades, but are going to use rupture rune...It's an extra 30% damage and you get armor pen. I am going to play backstab spec.
It's because you have to spend 10 additional talent points in the Sub tree to unlock this, none of which offer anything to you in a raid, just to increase Rupture damage by 125 (before attack power) over 16 seconds.
I thought about this, believe it or not. Would be nice if you share your results
Seal fate is a bad choice imo....you will have all the combo points you need from the rune which grants them from anyone in your party getting a crit. Those points are better spent in lethality and/or precision. Especially when you consider these are 20 man raids and the chance you get put into a group with another rogue and a druid is high. That will generate loads of critical strikes....there really shouldn't be a debate honestly, it's the clear choice.

Yeah, id rather just go rest into precision. If we are worried about our offhand missing and not applying poison which leads us to use a fast offhand, why not just go for more white hit.

Honestly, you lost credibility as soon as you said "put these points in lethality instead". Lethality is the end all, be all bait talent.
Truth is, seal fate sims/spreadsheets higher. And so it's better. Simple as that.
