Is The Immigration Department Corrupt, Or Not? (Adakah jabatan imigresen korup, atau tidak?)

  • Most of us know about immigration staff asking for bribes. This is not new.
Last June, Tourism, Arts & Culture Minister Tiong King Sing exposed corruption at KLIA
He said that uncovered corruption among some officers and the chronic abuse of power at the country’s borders.
So, what has happened since that incident? More cover ups or will corrupt officials be punished?
YB Tiong set an example for other ministers to emulate.

This was in the 1980s .

I can prove that the immigration department is one of the most corrupted department.
I have gone through a few high court cases vs immigration department and the latest high court case against the Malaysian police for not investigating on my police reports against corrupt immigration officers.
Most foreigners would keep silent but the corruptions is so deep that I would like to bring all their corruptions to the Malaysian public attention. In the past, the immigration can threatened with retaliations well as can always denied because there is no one to challenge them in the Malaysian High courts and no hard evidences of all their wrongdoings.

What a clown demand. Who will investigate? On whose orders, this commentator's? Laughable. Miriam surely is just amusing herself out of her boredom with a single incident she picks up and recounts that all of us already know. A serious clip would have been to do some work and ask how many undocumented migrants there are among the 7 Million (Mahathir's figure publicly stated few years ago), and then tell us what they have to go through in their daily lives. Surely its hardly beyond her capacity to get some locals, since she apparently lives overseas, to speak to just a handful of such migrants and get the full facts. Millions undocumented paying thousands annually, comes to Billions annually. Over how many decades? Makes 1 MDB look like just a casual tea party. The cost of procuring a permit are known in the street, how come she doesnt bother to educate herself? Minister says too many immigrants, vastly surplus to requiremnents? Really, are these fellows all so utterly clueless and incompetent? So, if they are surplus how is it they are finding work and working, constantly aware they better have some cash on them to pay whenever they are picked up by the police? Anwar, sonorously asleep on the wheel past 11 months, may be the only person who believes he has eradicated corruption, yet he gets away with such astonishing statements, by the whole system putting a steel wall around it all, with him as lead in-charge of the fantasy tale. So, Miriam, please do some serious work, not this coffee at 11 fun time episode.

For example we locals dont want to easily give foreigners business opportunities, jobs or status so we are happy if the foreigners hv to pay this, pay that, taxes ect...ect...but where does the money flow into? The civil services has a reputation that most if not all Malaysians are aware of. We complain, gripe and debate about it extensively but nothing much can be done to reverse this trend for as long as people are hungry for money. Conscience has never and will never triumph over human greed. The ex PM is in prison but has it waken up those actively pursuing riches by whatever means? The lure is too strong to most of them. That is the weakness of the human race, irrespective of race, religion or creed.

1.5 Million PATI in Malaysia or maybe more (Believe the related ministry also could not give the accurate numbers)
So what do you think??? How they can survive? Majority of my neighbors in Sg. Buloh are PATI. Are immigration officers are blind or not doing their job?. In the first please how did they get in into our country????.
You think MPs in the Parliament want to debate, discuss or resolve this PATI issue. I don't think so. PATI is already in our blood stream. We can't drain them. Now they use our facilities, they took over local's semi-skill jobs. Worse thing, billon of ringgits annually drain out of our country.
WHAT I CANNOT BRAIN, FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS, ALL PMs & HOME MINISTERs FAILED TO RAISE THIS PATI ISSUE IN THE PARLIAMENT..

The bane of many Govts are the fight against corruptions which are always futile. Nevertheless, looking at it positively corruption does serve its purpose by making many troublesome bureaucratic procedures smooth and fast way of doing things. As the saying goes " If you can't beat them, join them"...🤣🤣🤣

Nak adu siapa? Semua pihak berkuasa pun sama, terlibat dalam rasuah. Semua pun Islam agamanya, apalah..

Corruption is their core business which they are good at for decades. So, no one could ever stop them from doing this traditional, easy-earned-money family business. That's why most Malay politicians felt insulted and offended when their comrades (especially the Malay comrades) were accused or caught by other people ( especially from other races for corruptions) ! They are trying to tell people of other races not to interfere into the Malays' traditional core family business or else actions would be taken against them and not the currupted ones!
