Further more he has to face the endless number of enemies who want his downfall . I do not expect a 180 o change for the country , but I still believe his team can give us some surprise at the end of their present mandate .

Among all the ex-PMs, personally, I like Badawi the most. Although many say he didn't do ANYTHING, I remember he stopped all the white elephant projects that "The Great" Tun M aimed for, and used the money to improve public services, replace old police cars, improve the quality of balai bomba, and repair run-down schools. His hands were tied, but he at least took care of the rakyat's welfare. That's the role model of a leader. Although his slogan was Islam Hadhari, as a non-Muslim, I didn't feel threatened or fearful at all. He is the real Muslim - low profile, humble, and reduces wastage.

We have to admit that we are stuck with the choice of the least worst rather than choosing from the best. Anwar’s portraying that he is embodiment of Islam. We the people don’t want religious leader, the people can decide for themselves how they want to lead their lives no need for governments input.
Religion should be totally removed from school curriculum and focus on what’s important for them to succeed in life rather than what government thinks is good for them.

Please be patient la young friends. This change will come eventually, but not within the next few years. You all don’t understand the dynamics of Malaysian politics. If Anwar come up with policies to give equal rights to all Malaysians, there will be a Malay uprising. This can easily turn into mayhem and chaos and war. It was during Tengku's period as PM we had a fair government. After May 16, 1969 things changed 14:56 drastically in Mala became more worst when Mahathir became PM in 1981. His 22 years as PM was a disaster for malaysia. It was a period when his cronies and kids acted as if Malaysia was their own property. Those he felt was a threat to his rule were detained under ISA or brought to trail in court under false charges. He made sure he appointed his own yesman is key positions, IGP, Attorney General and Chief Justice of Malaysia. Now we malysians are paying price for Dr. M' s atrocities.

Hi Madam. Respect your view and others who agree with you but I didn't expect that your doubt came too soon against the current government which is relatively new. Every reform takes time and if everyone decides to pull handbrake and cast their doubt prematurely, we will end up to the square one. Are we ready to go back to the same group of leaders who are proven to fail? We should acknowledge it's not easy to lead multi coalition parties who used to be rivals after coming back fresh from GE15 and then follow up with PRN in 6 big states. Too much politicking from both ends leading up to the PRN had also disrupted the progress. Let PMX and his cabinet do their job and assess their performance at least after the upcoming budget tabling based on a full year in charge.

Halangan utama sekarang bagi kewujudan masyarakat dan sistem yg lebih sederhana dan progresif adalah ketiadaan kehendak politik yg kuat oleh Kerajaan Perpaduan utk meningkatkan status sosioekonomi rakyat biasa dgn ketara. Itulah halangan sekarang, bukannya status kewangan yg buruk atau hutang negara yg tinggi. Dengan peningkatan sosioekonomi rakyat dgn ketara, perasaan insekuriti mereka yg tinggi akan mula reda....dan mereka tidak lagi akan mudah terpengaruh oleh sentimen perkauman dan keagamaan oleh sesetengah pihak. Pihak kerajaan mesti berusaha serta memberikan fokus sepenuhnya kpd peningkatan sosioekonomi rakyat dgn ketara, sebalik drpd bersaing dgn pihak pembangkang utk menonjolkan diri sebagai pejuang dan pembela agama dan bangsa yg lebih besar.
Too many problem for PMX to solve at once. The critical vote that he lacked is among malays. Since this is not PH goverment but PHBN government, mutual understanding between memberships of different parties must be acquired first.

Agree to disagree. The disasters of the past has come fully to the hilt. It’ll take humongous effort to make the necessary reforms, changes & improvements. And worse, the opposition don’t seem to stop at trying to bring downfall to the govt. Certainly it’s a tough call for pmx!
Kerajaan Perpaduan harus menghargai sokongan rakyat dan tak boleh anggap sokongan itu adalah satu ketetapan di mana rakyat tak ada pilihan. Jika kerajaan tak boleh diharap, kuasa ketiga akan ada peluang untuk bangkit di PRU akan datang. Well, PMX is having a lot on his plate now. His biggest fear and obstacle is the opposition which now tends to have more clout and say. He needs to find ways to overcome this. If he really says if he is the reformist, then being more Islamic is not the way. Actually, religion and politics should not mix, but PMX says that both can't be separated. That and other things shows that the PMX does not have power to get things his way (the reforms which he always talked about). I know it's not easy making decisions when you are in the hot seat. Reformation takes time but don't take too long to get things done. He has only until the next general election.Let's see when the state elections are over in Johor.

Non-Muslims have no choice they have to take what seems to favour them as well. Just look at the way he answers about the fairness of meritocracy. There won't be a reformation, we all know that. The MADANI concept is only for Malays. The religious schools are further asking them not to mix with the non-Muslims.

Apa yang dia sebut sangat benar tetapi aku yakin ramai samada dari pihak penyokong kerajaan atau penyokong pembangkang sukar untuk menerima kenyataan ini. Aku pernah kata banyak kali sebelum ini bahawa negara kita tidak ada seorang pemimpin yang benar-benar bijak dan berwibawa untuk membawa kita keluar dari kemelut yang dialami negara ini. Masing-masing tak berani atau tak sanggup bertindak agresif untuk memulihkan negara ini dari terus ke belakang.
Dari sebuah negara yang sebelum ini dikenali sebagai 'Asian Tiger' (Harimau Asia) Malaysia selepas 30 tahun sudah bertukar menjadi 'Paper Tiger' (Harimau Kertas). Tiada tanda-tanda bahawa negara ini akan bangkit semula dan menjadi sebuah negara yang disegani di persada antarabangsa. Pemimpin-pemimpin dunia hanya bercakap mengenai negara-negara Singapura, Indonesia, dan Vietnam apabila menyentuh tentang hal-ehwal Asia Tenggara tetapi Malaysia langsung diketepikan.
Reformasi yang disebut-sebut Anwar Ibrahim sebelum menjadi perdana menteri hanya tinggal sebagai cakap kosong. Selepas melihat 'gelombang hijau' ketika PRU 15 dan ketika PRN baru-baru ini dia seperti hilang keberaniannya untuk memulakan reformasi yang pernah dia janjikan sebelum ini. Ini kerana dia tahu bahawa ramai orang Melayu tidak menyokong malah mencemuh segala bentuk reformasi yang mereka fikir akan menggugat kepentingan kaum Melayu dan Islam.Yang anehnya, seorang pemimpin negara yang pernah menjunjung reformasi yang dia reka sendiri sekarang seperti sudah dilupakan. Daripada seorang yang memulakan gerakan reformasi, Anwar sekarang sibuk mencuba menjadi seorang pemimpin yang lebih Islam dari seteru-seteru politiknya yang masing-masing mersakan diri mereka lebih Islam dari yang lain.Perbuatan ini mungkin Anwar rasa dapat menambat hati kaum Melayu-Islam tetapi ini juga memusnahkan segala percubaannya untuk memperkenalkan reformasi yang negara ini amat memerlukan untuk terus maju ke hadapan. Masa cepat berlalu. Jika Anwar ingin membuat apa-apa perubahan positif dan menunjukkan kepada umum bahawa reformasi yang dibawanya adalah jawapan untuk segala kemelut yang melanda negara ini dia mesti mulakan langkahnya dari sekarang. Dia mesti bertindak agresif dan tidak menghiraukan kemarahan puak-puak konservatif yang tidak ingin melihat reformasi bertapak di negara ini. Reformasi yang berjaya akan mengubah pandangan puak-puak sinis dan terpaksa mengaku bahawa reformasi yang dibawa Anwar memang hebat dan berkesan membuat Malaysia sebuah negara yang berjaya dari semua aspek. Yang menjadi persoalan, adakah Anwar hanya berani mengusulkan reformasi apabila dia menjadi pembangkang tapi tak berani melakukannya apabila dia dilantik menjadi perdana menteri? Apakah bab reformasi ini hanya satu naratif yang dibawa untuk meraih sokongan rakyat dan buka satu cita-cita dan keinginan untuk membawa negara ke mercu kejayaan?

Pengetahuan agama dah agak cukup diajar oleh atuk dan nenek. Fahaman agama kami kebanyakan diajar oleh atuk nenek dan Ibu bapa kami sendiri. Macam mana nak Jadi seorang manusia yang baik dan bertanggung jawab, semua belajar daripada atuk nenek Ibu bapa yang mengajar pada kami.
Agama bukan untuk kita jadi "polis moral" , bukan digunakan untuk menekan orang lain dan hukum orang lain.

The best way to fix the education system is to have 2 medium of education one in English and another in Bahasa Malaysia. Do that in the same school premises and you will be surprised how many Malays will register their children in the English medium section of the school. the government failed to realise a large Malay community want their children to be educated in English. The proof is that many Malays send their children overseas and to international schools to study english because they are aware without english their children go no whare and their future are bleak.

Kerajaan Malaysia tidak perlu berslogan. Slogan tidak membawa apa-apa manfaat selagi jentera kerajaan tidak dapat bersifat dan berfungsi secara profesional dan berkhidmat kepada rakyat. Semua jabatan kerajaan perlu berkhidmat secara saksama dan pentingkan rakyat tidak mengira kaum, agama dan warna kulit. Dengan pembangunan ekonomi dan pembinaan sahsiah murni akan membawa negara kita ke arah keamanan dan kesejahteraan, semua rakyat hidup selesa dan saling hormat-menghormati sesama kita. Fully agree with you 💯 9 months is more than enough to judge the govt. I do hear noises saying it's too early, wait for full 5 years term. Come on rakyat, be the wise rakyat. Stop being pak turut @ yesman or worshipper. In Bahasa Malaysia, we call pentaksub tegar. Instead be open minded, independent and non-partisan. Instead of backing up your favourite politicians or political parties and coalition and trying to defend them at all costs with getting blinded with falsehoods and bs, why don't be non-partisan and see from both sides. Offer constructive criticism and feedback. The more praises you throw, the more ego shoots up their empty heads. Remember how long BN ruled Msia and how arrogant they became.
