PMC Result6 Monitor Review: The Best Intro Speakers for Composers?

- In this video we take a look at the PMC Result6 near-field monitors. I had a chance to demo them in my space for 2 weeks and to say I was surprised and delighted would be an understatement. Surprisingly consistent low frequency resolution at different SPLs and vivid upper mid range were just some of the stand-outs here. Watch for the full review.

Another excellent review - so much more useful than the majority on CZcams. It's especially nice that you contrast/compare to other well-known models out there so that if one familiar with one or more of those, they can get an idea of where this review item lay in the tone-spectrum. Also, your presentation is so thorough and professional that I want to trust what you say, as opposed to the "I unboxed these 10 minutes ago, played 3 EDM tunes at full volume, and am basing my review on how much dust I could shake off the ceiling fan blades with them..." type of thing. Thanks so much for all the time you obviously put into this.

personal think these are such a beautiful speaker, half the reason why i want to buy a pair.
I wish the rubber bands were removable..
I bought these monitors after Focal Solo6, and they sound more honest to me. In PMC I can immediately hear any flaws in the mix. They have soft and neutral low frequencies, a clear middle and nice and smooth high. I am very pleased with them.

This is very helpful! I was reading on the focal solo6be’s and I thought I was sold but then I heard about these pmc’s. So I don’t know now. Why’d you get the pmc’s after the focals and what are your thoughts a year later?
Which subwoofer would you recommend to pair with pmc result 6?
Just bought a pair from SWEETWATER as I have been upgrading most all of my recording gear. Studio monitors is the last on my list at least for now. I was using ROCKVILLE Rokit8s with the my old system and now find it time to go for the gold if you will. I heard good things about the PMC Result6 so I bit the bullet and made the purchase. I should receive them tomorrow and hope they offer me what I desire when working. I'm sure they are a major upgade, at least I hope, and won't buy woofers just yet until I get these really tuned in to my head. Your video is awesome and your ability to present kmowledge in a calm manner is excellent. Thank you!
Great review! Thank you. Ive been lusting over purchasing the ADAM A7X but have to do my research . The PMC Result6 sound enticing as well.
I love the Star Wars aesthetic, looks like they where designed by the Empire. I placed a Tie Fighter model on top of mine and it just looks awesome.
Thinking about either these and keep my sub woofer or getting the Neumann kh310's and maybe get rid of my sub. I'll order both and see what works best in my room.
I couldn't find any information on this but would you happen to know which sub would pair the best with these speakers? Or will any sub pretty much do the job? Great review by the way!
I'm using sealed subwoofer EVE Audio TS 108 with Results. Highly recommended to use iso acoustic stands for your sub. PMC sub is obviously the best to compliment them but it's quite pricey.
Totally agree on the visual part of the monitors.
Would you recommend them over the Focal Twins or even Trios , i have a well treated room (3,4 x 4,5 metres) , i want monitors for mix/master bass heavy music ? Thx

how do these compare to the PMC TBS2 Aii. I like the low mid punch but i feel the high air are not there on the TBS2 Aii .

It’s always a good idea to pair a sub from the manufacturer, so in this case a PMC8

No actually. I upgraded to HEDD 3-Way Monitors. The focals are excellent but I wanted more than 2-way.
Do you ever compare result6 and footprint 02?
Nope. Never tried Barefoots.
PMC Result 6 vs Psi audio a17m?
It's two different worlds. PSI a17m feel way darker than the PMC. I would suggest you compare them yourself so you get it right it's pretty fun!

Rémy Belaich it’s not a “this or that” but a “this and that”. NS10s serve a specific purpose and nothing else can really replace them.

The video says intro composing yet the price on these is around 3,000 to 2700 dollars. That sounds like an intermediate to low tier professional if not professional to me. That title got my hopes up man. Great overall review though. Are there a more affordable set of speakers you’d recommend, 1,000 dollars or less for a set?

PMC is lying to its customers and is incapable of designing a proper loudspeaker. The i series is a particularly massive failure with WAY TOO MUCH bass reponse. Speaker is totally imbalanced. I suppose PMC does not have a drug testing program in place for its employees.

@@cdsmock4512 Yes I seen him doing the same thing on a PMC TWO TWO6 series monitors video, which I have and I find them very well designed. I don't know what's up with this guys hate on PMC lol. cheers man!!
