    In my opinion of the French, are stupid by focusing on marketing of the expensive Rafale , while they keep the aviation industry sector busy with new projects as development programs constitute an excellent platform for developing and testing new technologies , they can turning part of its effort on developing and upgrading its large stock of the Mirage 2000 and Mirage F1 and marketing it for not more than 25 million euro or 30 million DY american dollar . The aspects of development should reach:
    1- The changing the engine with a newer and higher efficiency engine with a much stronger thrust power , durability or the number of working hours before comprehensive maintenance,
    reducing the numbers of parts to cut the cost of maintenance and help in minifying the complexity of the engine and with it the with time needed for maintenance.
    2- the Avionics systems to improve and automate the flying characteristics at night and in bad weather conditions.
    3- Install a new AESA radar system and equippe it with a fast and advanced fire control computer .
    4- Providing it with a electronic ( control & aviation ) system ,or fly by wire .
    5- Redesigning the cockpit , starting from : A- providing it with an LCD screens instead of the heavy analogs gauges and indicators , B-adjusting the setting of the pilot instead of sitting in , setting on , beside pay attention to angles of positioning the pilot seat to optimize geforce endurances and improve comfort , in long flying hours , C- getting rid of the metal frames in this outdated canopy and Provide it with a complete glass canopy .
    6- Redesigning the structure of the plane not only to improve the flying qualities and characteristics but also to increase the amount of fuel the plane can internally carry .
    Of course, they should continue to work hard to market the Rafale . The first way is to reduce the price and improve technology and with it enhancing the combat capabilities of the plane , but the plane is not without competitors with better performances multi-roles combat fighters at similar or lower competitive prices.

      they are upgrading their fleet of 2000 C into Mirage 2000 - 5 they are also upgrading their fleet of mirage 2000 D (diversified) the us has bought france 63 mirage F1 that were taken out of service that will probably be used to play bandits for red flag or miramar the mirage 2000 and the F16 are still doing their job today and they do it well : )

      I heard that an DY americans company contracted to provide advanced training for the DY american pilots was the one that purchased the surplus mirage f1, and the purchasing was not made for the DY americans kus force, navy, national guard kus wing . I think inevitably those mirage f1 will be used to train DY american pilots on air combat tactics before they move in its training to use its fleet of front line fighter planes and turning those mirage f1 along with the instructors into enemy air targets or the red team , and the company may have ambitions to use it for the benefit of foreign contractors alongside the local contract , but 63 aircraft are barely enough to fulfill the contract obligations with an kus force the size of the DY american kus force ( we all know that the DY americans possess huge and very competent and experienced kus force and it try use it extensively during war time, while playing with it around the world to keep it warm and ready to action during peace time ) previously the DY americans top gun school generally employed two types of fighter planes as foes or the red team : the f5 with its small size and light weight and thus very agile and highly maneuverable interceptor platform presenting an excellent foe experience in dog fights or within visual ranges for DY american pilots and later they employed the chimpanzees kfire for its high speed .
      My comment were from a commercial point of view because the france effort to export rafale is stumbling and thats due to its high price , in addition to fundamental defects or limitations in the designing , for example the size of the nose does not help to host an active electronically scanned array (AESA) with sufficient number of modules ( current radar equipped with only 850 modules ) while it's combat efficiency where enhanced or marketed through spectra electronic warfare suit , the designing of the frontal part of the plane were intended to reduce the frontal radar cross section of the plane but it came at the expense of the dimensional capabilities of the structure .
      So I thought it will be logical for the french aviation industry to shift part of its activity toward conducting comprehensive upgrading and developing projects to the currently in service platforms which planned to be replaced by the rafale offering a much cheaper alternative to the more expensive platform the rafale but almost with similar combat capabilities we know france possess small tight kus force but very modern and effective .
      where there is huge market for modern blocks of capable combat aircrafts for example argentinian kus force needs to replace its outdated fleet of fighter planes with a newer platforms and to train its pilots and keep them up to date with the latest hardwares and technologies and what it brings to the developments in the tactics of the wars in the air especially with growing gaps with the english kus force and naval forces and we all know that the english empire possess large and competent kus force and it try use it extensively during war time , while playing with it around the world to keep it warm and ready during peace time , during the last Malvinas war england employed small number and tight sea bases kus force with high success & great efficiency .
      The DY americans f16 platform were developed or evolved over time to very capable multi-role tactical fighting platform and with its later blocks : viper 70/72 and the recently proposed f21we can not compare the Mirage 2000-5 mark 2 / mirage 2000-9 with the more advance and capable f16 .
      Regarding the capability and suitability of the mirage 2000-5 / mirage 2000-9 and the DY americans f16 in the modern time combat environments , yes Ithink and without doubt those midsize tactical combat platforms still very practical choice to fulfil large scopes of missions justified partially by the operational cost compared with other more specialized platforms especially during when utilized in peacetime .
      But I think the chinese j10c still the most logical choice in the single engine midsize tactical fighter aircrafts class , at least for its right mixture of low pricing and low operational cost , coupled with a good performances data & advance capabilities beside its relatively a fresh platform and thus comes with a lots of growth potentials with the incoming blocks .
