House targaryen: fire and blood.
House Lanister: hear me roar.
House Stark: winter is coming.
House Blackwood: fuck around and find out.
House Bracken: Fucked around and found out?

I feel like almost no one mentions that even the little Blackwood felt a little nauseous and feint after his victory. This is probably the first time he drew blood with his steel. He’s probably been training with his master at arms but never used his skills seriously.
I noticed that, too. You do tend to crash after a massive adrenaline surge wears off.
His skill over size difference makes me feel like he’s a serious student but till this day a student only. That and he seems like a truly serious kid. Otherwise, agreed.
@@Whogaftbh I mean seriously as in against a real person
I wonder what happened to the kid afterwards?@@BrettSmashy
He fought with the Blacks during the Dance. Even though he was in a battle against the Brackens, his sister and son carried the Raven banner of House Blackwood into many victories during the Dance and they managed to defeat Lord Borros Baratheon.@@skylinedrx18
“You’ll find my resume lying bleeding to death on the floor princess”
I think she acted like a brat here. Those are her father banner men, they also deserved respect and not treated like idiots to be mocked.
Yepp, the southern houses are snorky in general. The iron islands and the north are where the genuine people can be found
and she wonders why she had no allies...so fucking lucky she had the northern kingdoms on her side.
@@BlackDiamond2718 Tbh this happened when she was an inmature teenager.
and it cost her...@@Emy-fv5ny
@@AH13371Just like the United Kingdom...
One of King Jaeherys’ accomplishments was forging a peace between Houses Blackwood and Bracken that lasted 50 years. I wonder if this was the incident that broke the peace.
No that same boy later fights alongside her during the dance
@@icedboba1446That's another Blackwood, this guy is a show original
@@transformersstopmotionbr2972It's the same person, they have different names in the book and the show. But he is the Lord of House Blackwood during the Dance of Dragons.
I'd have picked the kid were I her. You're never expected to consummate a marriage too young, so she wouldn't need to worry about that. He genuinely seems to hold a lot of reverence and respect for Rhaenyra, which many other lords do not. The age gap is only like six or seven years, which as teens/young adults is barely anything especially once you've spent a few years together. He's a hell of a fighter, and probably grows up to be a handsome gigachad in the vein of Crispy Cole whom she clearly liked. She'd be his first, which a lot of people care about as it strengthens pair bonding. And on top of that, him looking up to her the way he clearly does likely means he'll not stray from her when he's fully grown, but be a good and loyal husband.
Willem Blackwood was the one that got away. Rhaenyra fumbled the Blackwood bag. Went for a wife murdering abuser instead. Ah, women.
Good argument!
@@skylinedrx18 Thanks.
It would also protect her from childbirth until she was at least early 20s. Which is far safer then having kids at 14-15.
House Blackwood, fuck around and find out!
That should be their house words and sigil
Really felt like she wanted to be queen but then didn't want to do any of the responsibilities of that role. Seemed like she HATED the offers of marriage but that should be expected for any unmarried heir to the throne (male or female).
Then she decides to leave as soon as the trouble is starting. As the highest "ranked" person there can't she stop that? With her word or her knight
Spot on. I don't know how you feel about him but it's one of the biggest reasons I sympathise with Cole. It's insane how the fanbase collectively whitewashes Rhaenyra while hating on Cole as just an incel/simp 'who raged at being rejected' and miss the intricacies so badly.
Rhaenyra abused her power and disregarded Cole's honour, vows and duty entirely to get herself off, using him like Daemon did her. Then, when he tried to restore his honour and give her an out (admittedly stupid but desperate), after years of her whining privately to him about how 'nobody has ever held my position' in episode 3 (when Cole had to remind her what a privileged, well off little royal she was compared to 99% of the realm, let alone being a spoiled Daddy's girl), she then suddenly threw the 'I may chafe at my duties' rubbish at him on the boat and happily didn't give one thought to the vows and oaths she had coerced him to break, while then hilariously going straight to using her own duties ('I am the crown') as a get out of jail free card.
Rhaenyra is more to blame than anyone that she made such a nasty enemy out of Cole.
@@user-nv2wt4hi8t I'm going to have to use your own words, spot on.
I do think Cole became worse and has his pretty negative traits now -- and it's so unfair how he treats the Strong boys -- but at the same time, I sympathize because Rhaenyra set him on that path. You summed it up well, Rhaenyra used him for her own needs/desires without any regard for how it affected him (as he had taken oaths as you mention).
He should have not slept with her but I can def understand why he hates her now
Doubt she ever gave it a second thought and you are absolutely right. She essentially put him on the path to being what he is now
True...She didn't act according to her position but more like a spoiled brat. At least later she seemed to gain more wisdom.
@@user-nv2wt4hi8t I did agree with you, then Cole beat Joffrey to death.
If your anger spills over to commit blatant murder, there’s something wrong with you. Cole’s shown that his emotions rule him and his sword, and that makes him dangerous.
I think it’s the fact that they started fighting out of no where in front of her is an insult. She’s there for a potential consort. Why would she waste her time on idiots fighting and disrespecting her presence. The woman is hungry and they’re wasting her time. I don’t blame her.
I love how he interrupts himself to half-absently look and then walk over to the table and pour himself a full cup to drink, only to go back and continue like nothing happened.
Guess with age you DO stop giving a fuck, even in royal presence. ^^
Also, that "child" would've been a good option and should've been her choice after disposing of the Bracken swine. He's closer to her age than anyone else she goggled with...
After having a few hundred grown men compete for her hand, she’s so numb to the age difference she’s probably forgotten she’s a child herself.
Could also be that he was parched after talking for so long. Your lips, really your whole mouth feels dry and worn when you speak for a while.
Love your psychology analysis of the characters in these scenes
its done for copy right xd
After that id believe the safe at night part 😂 lol. Got them lil hands andddd got big bro with the pointy end 😂
Lord Dondarian: (At 0:31) "Saaayyy. Is that wine I see there on the table? Why, yes. I'll be happy to help myself to some."
(At 0:41) [Loooong Pouring ]
(At 0:48 to 0:52) [Big Gulps]
(At 0:52) Lord Baratheon and Rhaenyra are thinking "Seems Lord Dondarion enjoys the wine a little much, don't you think?"
You can still hear the essos twang in the Baratheon voice it hasn’t quite diluted from orys yet. By time of Robert it’s gone completely
Maybe my soul is showing but that clip is dark humor gold!
Is that bloody Ben?! Benjicot Blackwood? His ruthlessness really did start early!
He is
No, he is not Bloody Ben. Bloody Ben is around Jacaerys age during the Dance of Dragons. The Blackwood in this scene was Lord Blackwood during the Dance of Dragons, he is Bloody Ben's father.
@@ebubechukwuezenweinyinya9697 yeah, I'll be honest when I originally left this comment I did wonder if I'd got the timeline a bit off. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree clearly 😁
This scene is a perfect snapshot of the history and essence of the Blackwoods and Brackens. The Brackens are opportunistic bullies and when the hammer hits the steel, they turn out hollow and worthless. Meanwhile the Blackwoods are brave, honourable in every sense of the word, and despite being looked down by the world at large, always prevail by the end.
This boy will fight for Rhaenyra one day.
This boy will order the death of a dragon one day.
It'll be a mercy kill tho.
When you watch this over and over and realize that she actually alienated the other lords while Alicent was working towards alliances.
I think its funny that people are surprised a 14 year old girl is not happy about being forced to marry people she doesnt want. Hell Its not a new thing for GoT. Cersei pretty much infers she was forced to marry Robert by her father. When she goes please dont force me to do it again to her father when discussing marriage to the Loras.
Yes she didnt play the game and act like a princess. But its understandable that the women of the 7 kingdoms probably dont appreciate being bargaining chips with no voice over their lives. She's lucky her father even allowed her a choice honestly.
@@DevinEMILE my only concern is that people don’t look at things from a logical perspective when they watch the show. My concern is more towards how things progress and where they progress. I appreciate that characters are realistic and that does mean making mistakes. But i like looking at the big picture and how it can hurt more than themselves.
If I were Rhaneyra I woul choose the kid. The kid would get a mommy like wife.would stay loyal and willing stand for her for life as young blood tend to stay protective of thier first love.
She was to young and knew to little to make a good choice on this matter, she needed more time to learn
I get so caught up in these scenes I often forget there is commentary
I really wanna see this young lad blackwood back in the show. I don't know the lore but he's very fierce ✌️
He will appear again, amazing secondary character
Will have to be recasted because of the age difference but he fights for her in the dance of dragons.
In the book this is going to be a very pivotal house in the dance of dragons.
Bloody Ben just starting his rampage
By God that kid meant it. That's how you deal with a bully.
Everyone here is forgetting that she is a teenager being forced to pick someone to marry against her will. Of course she will be impatient and snarky, she doesn't want to be there at all and considers this process a waste of her time. And then when steel is drawn, she really doesn't want to be around for that.
Of course she left in a hurry, why would an unarmed woman with no armor that close to the combatants stay where she could be in danger? Cole is one man, and this could have gotten bad unless she removed herself from the melee. Okay, guards, but still it could have gotten ugly in a hurry and she is a princess.
Would the Blackwood boy have been a good choice for her? Who knows? All we got of him was a very stiff and serious youth, who is rather prickly I might add, who is surprisingly skilled with a sword. A great husband that does not make. And "under my protection" was an absolutely laughable claim.
Maaaaaaan 🙄. She should’ve taken the kid! He would’ve been awsome.
I'm just thinking about how Lord Baratheon didn't just let Rhaenyra take the place of honor, he let her sit in the seat and location which, if I'm not mistaken, was the seat and location in day-to-day affairs of every Baratheon lord and Durrandon king going back to Durran Godsgrief (at least for regular functions). He's one very generous lord and distant relation.
Do we know what happened to the kid of house blackwood after this.
Seems he went home... his proposal rejected, but....he killed a Bracken, in front of the entire Court, so, all in all, a good day for House Blackwood!
He fought for the Blacks during the Dance of Dragons.
Glad they had the Bracken/Blackwood feud here(since they totally ignored it in GOT).
So something I've been wondering
Is the little kid in trouble or is that "justifiable" or whatever lol
That'd most likely be considered justifiable in the eyes of the law, considering that the Bracken guy also drew his steel and willingly stepped forward to fight.
Lord Baratheon might have something to say about the embarrassment of having blood shed in his halls in front of the princess though, and I'm quite sure Lord Bracken will seek revenge for having his son skewered in front of him.
What a horrible woman 😂😂
goated videos
Chris Hansen should have sat the old guy down
Dude who died was talking crazy. 🤣
This boy is Benjicot Blackwood ?
No, he is Bloody Ben's father.
who's the young boy?
Who is that the blackwood kid killed?
Some Lord of House Bracken. Their oldest rivals/enemy.
