As an Aventus sort of hater in a way. I finally got my hands on a 3ml decant of Aventus cologne and can say that I now finally like Aventus. I despise regular Aventus and all of its clones but this cologne version just does everything right. It’s so fresh, vibrant and airy
I recommend you trying Pineapple Vintage Intense if you want a good Aventus clone experience. It elevates that pineapple note giving it a beautiful spring or summer tropical fragrance vibe. It’s from Parfums Vintage
But that costs almost the same as a bottle of aventus cologne on discounters
@@profound369 Aventus Cologne is usually around $300+ and on discounter’s probably $200-$250. I have a 50ml of Pineapple Vintage intense that I got for $80 a while back and it has way better performance for less than half the price. Now a 100ml bottle will probably go for $130-$160 and still be cheaper than one you can find on a discounter. Yes it’s almost the same price, but the quality is almost on the same level with a better performance in my opinion. I believe they have samples you can try as well if you want to play it safe.

I got the Virgin Island Water and from first sniff I am impressed but will need to wear on skin this weekend when it is hot,hot! Thanks so much! My friend gifted me the inspired version of Xerjoff’s Erba Pura ….hell it smells the same and actually performs much intensely. The projection and sillage are super. My favorite from this house are Lafayette Street, Erba pura and the most important Tom Ford Noir Extreme.

I bought their Pacific Chill clone and they gave me a sample of Baywatch with my purchase and I loved it! Haven't smelled the original Afternoon Swim yet but I love the Yom & Layl version and can see me definitely owning a bottle.
You’ve really put Yom & Layl on the map recently, and I’ve been seeing/hearing great things!
Since you mentioned a few, another great inspiration house is Barrett Fragrances! I have tried a handful from the house, and they’re all great! I appreciate that they have the option to purchase 10ml travel atomizers for around $10 with discounts, so you can try before buying a bottle. When buying from houses like these, I usually get at least one sample/travel size of their version of something I either own or am familiar with to see how the inspiration holds up to the OG.

See I think they may have sent me a different fragrance because the greenley I got smells more like afternoon swim because it’s all orange no apple. It’s the same color as well. The Aventis cologne and 40 knots are the two best I recieved. It’s thick juice but it’s a beautiful fresh take for sure. And those bottles are super sick. Great reviews have a good one

Careful. I'm hearing these houses are starting to send YT takedown notices. Gotta word things and houses differently to protect your vids. I got the FD clone Basic Instinct from Yom and Layl on yesterday and you are absolutely right. The OG is the OG and can't be denied (greatest cherry frag ever IMO) but the Basic Instinct is no slouch and nails it in the drydown to a T. Also got a discovery set and I need the Maritime (40 Knots) as well. Believe it or not I lost my bottle somehow and this is a dead ringer. Thanks for introducing me to this house.

You are correct. But also you will get rid of it afterwards. I had a 17X01 that I let go a few years ago. Don’t regret it though
