- A friend of mine suggested me to buy the Husqvarna DBY51 Walk behind brush cutter, to help me manage the groth of grass, weeds and ferns on my 2.5 hectare farm in central Portugal.
When i was looking for more information and videos of this machine i did not find many. So i decided i will make one after i purchased it.
Unboxing did not take place (as it arrived half unboxed), but i do show and explain the operation controls a bit.
You can also see how the DBY51 perfroms in high grass and ferns.
I have not been sponsored or endorsed by Husqvarna or Motocastelo to make this video. I hope it helps someone that thinks about buying this machine make an informed decision.
In case you are in the Area of Castelo Branco in Central Portugal these are the details of the Dealer that assembeled the DBY51 (although i had ordered it online):

Looks like a little beast of a machine. Happy mowing
Thank you. It performs well on rough terrain, but much better on flat terrain.
Nice to see an alternative in action. I have a Berta flail attached to a BCS740 two-wheeled tractor which actually minces up the ferns [bracken] which is a major problem on 80 this hectacre farm currently. However I am hoping to use a mower on the re-growth as it will be quicker than the BCS : ) We have an old AS Almaher that is rather old -20 years- or go for a new zero turn mower.
Sounds great!
That’s a very powerful thing!
Thanks and yes it is, but flat terrain is really much better for it
Very nice machine Matty looks good for the job .
Thanks 👍. I had my first breakdonw though right after i stopped filming. The belt that drives the wheels slipped of. Had to open it and fix it...instead of finishing that terrace ;-)
I have yet to work on one but I know it’s coming 😊
Looks good will take a beating
Thank you :-)
Are you happy with it and would you buy it again ????
Although it seems in high grass or weeds i need to go over the same spot 3 times (forward, backward and forward again), because it is bending the long Grass and not always cutting them on the first go (so that is a bit of an annoyance), but otherwise i am happy with it.
I definately would buy it again.
If you ask me 3 years from now i hope u still use this one and jave not had to replace it with the next ine ;-). I hope that helps.
Chem trails
I don't know what you mean. The husky definitely doesn't do chem trails.
Indeed, the sky in Portugal looks horrendous sometimes due to Geo-Engeneering / Chemtrails. Such a shame.....
