For the time being my answer to your question. Column are loaded along the axis so known axial loaded. And if the loading is only acting in one direction (along X axis ) then it uniaxial loading and if loading is in two directions ( along X & Y axis ) then it is biaxial loaded column. According to eccentricity of load which column i.e uniaxial and biaxial column is decided . I will try post a video to clarify more on the topic
