    A slight correction about the 3rd track on the lower level. It's still there but is no longer used because the track there is in very poor condition. Other than that, nice video!

    • @TRRailfan
      @TRRailfan  Před 3 lety +5

      Yes, I said that it is still there but the third rail was removed and it is no longer used. I removed it from the track map to avoid confusion as I did not want to include an unusable track on the map.

    This is an awesome video. Good work! I spent 5 years 2003 to 2008 using the Canal street station during my commute to NYU from South Brooklyn. I would transfer from the Q to the R at Canal, and get off 8th street. The best train was the Q diamond. It would run express in Brooklyn, and on Broadway! I remember when it rained, the southern end of the manhattan bridge bound, brooklyn bound canal street station would have a waterfall. The water stains are still there and it's a common occurrence during storms. I can probably dig up video and pictures of this. The best was when I would get on a southbound Q train running local at 8th street, and it would make the crossover and run express to brooklyn on the Q line. No transfer!

    • @TRRailfan
      @TRRailfan  Před 3 lety

      Glad you enjoyed it! I would love to see the videos of the “waterfall”. I love when there are convenient reroutes. I need to take the 4 Av Local (usually marked as R) to the Sea Beach (usually marked as N), so I have to transfer, but sometimes a Local train will be marked as W and those usually switch tracks and go to Sea Beach, it’s great!
