My Great Uncle Had many gifts. He was an evangelist preacher. I would ask him things and he would answer and every time he was correct. So, to tell people that they might get it right but, not to expect it all the time is maybe selling God short. My son was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 7. It was the most curable form of Leukemia A.L.L. He relapsed many times. He was once put in the hospital for 2mos and when he was able to come home, he had a nurse coming to the house 3 times a week. (There is a story with that also but, will not go into that right now) This infection never went away. The last time he relapsed, because of the infection he was not able to do anymore, and he decided to go on hospice. He had fought it for over 7 years. I told my Great Uncle. He said he was not going to die of leukemia. I told my uncle that he was on hospice. He said he is not going to die of leukemia. And he didn't. He died in a car crash going to get a blood transfusion. because we hadn't had time to get started the Hospice to have it brought out to the house. A simi truck hit me on 285 in Atlanta in sept of 1996. Killing both of my children. Of course, when I talked to my Uncle, I never asked him how he would die. He just didn't die of Leukemia.

Can someone from the Athey Creek Church please show this to your pastor?
Pastor Brett, Jesus was baptized in the traditional Jewish wedding process, in doing it He was betrothed to His church as His Bride. Then we get baptized in His name, and await His return to take us to the Father's house to finish the marriage process and consumate the wedding (of course it will not be a sexual union.) The Holy Spirit is the Ernest, or like the engagement ring, an assurance of the binding vow of betrothal, and it is a binding Union as much as any wedding is. That's why He said in John 14 that He was going to prepare a place for us, and He will surely return to receive us to Himself, that where He is, there we may be also.
Of course there is the other more obvious aspect of our baptism, as Paul states to the Romans in 6:4 that we are buried with Him in baptism into death, and then raised to new life in Christ. But I wrote this more about Jesus' baptism, rather than ours.

I have a lot of friends and family who share with me videos from this "prophetess " or that "prophet". They send it to me to encourage me but I don't see truth in any of it. Most of them are prophecizing victory for our nation, or healing, or financial stability....none of them seem to speak a word that aligns with the end times events happening now and the word of God that speaks of these times. I can not seem to get through to them that the word of God speaks against these false prophets who speak their own words and dreams but that He did not send. He speaks against those who listen to the false prophets. It seems to me that there are relatively few Christians who actually see what is going on right now THROUGH the true word of God. We don't need any new prophets. God's word is perfect from beginning to end. It has all been said. If people will take the time to read the word of God instead of turning to humans....they would see this too.

But Pastor Brett, my husband and his family all fell down when Benny Hinn raised his hand, and my husband for one is not one to just drop when someone waves about. He states he had horrible migraines and they were healed that day forth. This power is very real he(Benny Hinn) has, but could it be that it is not a power from God but from the devil to confuse people?

I have a question. If baptism isn’t necessary then why is it mentioned so many times in the Bible? You give the example of the sinner on the cross but that is 1 example and if there was another time than I would say ok that makes sense but the Mormons believe in baptizing the dead and it is in the Bible 1 time 1 Cor 15:29. I DON’T believe that this scripture is saying baptize the dead but confirms that Jesus and resurrection. I do believe that baptism is important. If you can help me understand this that would be great thank you.

I get that it is Jesus! I believe that whole heartily. But Kim clement was called by God for our nation. I get it listen to what they say they speak the Word I’ve checked. I get it it’s not about them, it’s all about God! But people do hear from God all the time when they do it by faith to give to a person about something personal in there life it might be to an answered prayer that some one prayed. Calling them wooing them to the Holy Spirit. The ones I have heard are saying keep in prayer about everything with thanksgiving and there teaching how to pray snd to use the word in warfare. Which I never learned in church! Very sad. Some don’t even know how to pray or when asked they don’t! They might do it quietly but they don’t speak up in church!

Do you keep the law as well it’s in the bible that you should if so you must keep it all yet you can’t .as it was full filled in Jesus and the temple is no more

    • @chrismaguire3667
      @chrismaguire3667 Před 2 lety +1

Then you misinterpret Scripture, as Jesus came to FULFILL the Law. Yes, it is not abolished, BUT it is NOT for those who are in Christ for, if you are, you are considered as having fulfilled the Law BECAUSE Jesus DID. Paul belabours this is Romans 1-11!
However, Paul ALSO, in Galatians, and elsewhere, the point that there is NOTHING we can do to add to the COMPLETED work Jesus did at the Cross and His Resurrection. For if we do, we NEGATE what He did, and then we are without G-d's grace.
And you are on your own! You'll find the account in Acts, where Paul confronted the 'super-Judiasers', who said what you did, bro.
One question: if you think that, are you physically ritually circumcised? Because that's what those charlatans taught, and not to the Messianic Jews, but to the Christian Gentiles! Again, Paul teaches the circumcision is of the HEART.
And that is the Holy Spirit's job, to give us a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36), and change us FROM glory TO glory, to become more like Jesus daily. We are to know and understand the Law, and, as the Law is written on the new heart, it is the Holy Spirit that leads us in it; it's like breathing - autonomic.
But if we do sin, we have an Advocate and Propitiation who speaks on our behalf, if we repent (1 John 1), and, for His sake ALONE, we are forgiven. No sacrifice, promise, bargain or fearful acquiesence, on our part, will do.
But G-d knows WE CANNOT keep the Law, as explained in James.
So that is why G-d came down in human flesh to do that ON OUR BEHALF, amongst other reasons, so the Law cannot demand the ultimate sanction for us breaking even the least of them, thought word and/or deed! This is what Jesus was telling the self-righteous Pharisees when they told Him they followed the word of the Law: He told them even one errant thought negated their assertion, and they were hypocrites - it's right there in the Gospels, so read them!
Maybe you won't agree, probably won't, but I think you need a serious conversation with the Lord about this. Otherwise, please don't try to put your legalistic yoke on people freed from it by the Blood of Christ. Shalom.

The Word is as hard or as easy to live as we allow it. The Adversary oftentimes doesn't need to push us, we are are quite capable of getting the wrong end of the stick.
However, one of the gifts of the Spirit that we can ask as necessary for, is discernment, as we can for wisdom, and we need to make sure that everything we get from the pulpit and Bible scholars has Jesus firmly at the centre, we get a mish-mash of half-baked opinions and demands, often with a veneer of fear (not the fear of the Lord, which is recognising His awesomness) of failure, which is, as I have painfully learned, IS failure and leads to a downward spiral, which is exactly where the Enemy wants us. As ineffective as possible.
May the Lord bess you and keep you, to make His face shine upon you, to lift up His countenance upon you and give you His Shalom. And to all you love.
