I was enjoying your 14 point Matthew 3 presentation and came across a Jewish look at how they they perceived the prophets words in Hebrew times. This was presented by the TikVah Foundation. This lecture was presented by Micah Goodman. I thought it showed an opposing look at how prophecy was accepted by the Jewish society at the time.
Preacher I cannot agree that John was unlikely John was very likely for the reasons you mentioned The strange clothes and diet The location His very birth had people talking “…and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts saying what then will this child be ‘ Luke1:66
Also aren't we the red hiefers? For the church restored by unity of Christ? The blood makes us red and God always calls the time or nations that fail whores and stuff. A hiefer is a whore. That's what Father time said. And that the temple restored is our souls redeemed from the earth. Jesus said Father why have you forsaken me with his spirit broken. The temple is the body. The inner court is the soul. We allow those we know are good inside the inner courts of the temple. Like we should those good in our lives in our souls. Their spirts or seeds. The inner chamber is the mind or Holy of Holies which is what should always be fixed on God. And when Jesus came back the physical temple he had stated with danage. His vessel still had holes in the hands ya know but his soul and mind the inner courts and the inner sanctuary were fully restored and empowered. Thats what he meant the third day the temple would be restored. The true temple is all of us with this understanding asking mercy for us with our minds for our souls and all spirits in our souls. As everyone does as well is the offering wanted The offering of red hiefers are us the wicked and cursed generation covered in the blood of the Lamb. We who are redeemed.
Thanks for sharing, but your ideas don't line up with the Biblical teaching about Jesus, the church, salvation, etc. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but, I would respectfully disagree with your line of thinking. Blessings!
