Yes it's certainly a curio! I like the song Mind Games but never given the LP a proper chance. (I do like what I've heard from these Ultimate mixes from Sean so far so will have to find time.)
I agree. The Lennon and Harrison estates must think we are all rich. Even the McCartney Archive Collection is starting to get too pricey. I love it, but I can't afford it

Lennon estate are really in tune with 'modern'advertising. Just read a whole piece on it. Good on them cause it works perfectly

This cube only serves the extravagance of the rich under the guise of so-called art. But my God, whoever likes it and whoever has the money ..
When John was alive, he always gave us great products and music for a reasonable price. I don't think he would give his approval to this exorbitant issue.
It's high but not exorbitant. A lot of hard work by a group of dedicated people goes into a set like this. We should be thankful that we have access to this material at all. I'm not likely to purchase it, but I'll consider when my fortunes permit.

I don't think even Lennon himself would have thought that an album that was re-released on the budget 'Music for Pleasure' label was worthy of this hyperexpensive overblown treatment, but if it funds more physical media releases then I suppose it's ok. Having said that, the 2002 remix by Peter Cobbin was miles better than the original.
I'm looking forward to the Super Deluxe Peter Jackson remix of the Star Club tapes, with Star Club ashtray, beer mug, West German work permits, and bottles of Prellies and antibiotics...
It really is a time capsule and Beatiful piece of art , im enjoying this unboxing it’s full of surprises .

Thanks for showing this. I feel that this video will do more for people NOT buying the BIG BOX, and people thinking to charge back or cancel their orders, than selling it, though.

In a moment of madness I almost bought this thing the day it was announced. Having now seen the contents in great detail I’m so glad I didn’t. Nothing inside this box is worth the price of admission. They jumped the shark with this one IMHO.

This was wonderful Saturday morning viewing. An interest concept release with a lot to keep you coming back to it.
All I can say is absolutely not after over 45 yrs of collecting Beatles / solo memorabilia and music I’ve finally given up trying to keep up with all these extravagant releases. So thank you to the Lennon estate for convincing me to stop.
Great video to see what that huge outlay would get you - and pleased a genuine fan with a great channel get one - ultimately it’s a lot of repetition and whistles and bells - but it is beautifully put together and yes - artistic ! And we got bonus knobby knees ❤

I would need to take money out of savings to buy it, but I’m not sure how often I would enjoy the art of it. Although I love all the art, the vinyl is what I’m really after. Looks amazing Andrew, it's good to see Lennon's solo career getting serious attention, more to him than Imagine. I think I'm going to go for the double vinyl. Nice that they looking after everyone by featuring bonus tracks on all formats. Thanks, Andrew. This is the closest I’m ever going to get to this box set. I know it is ridiculously expensive, but it is a beautiful object and an intriguing piece of art. And it’s John Lennon. What more could we want? I’m very grateful for the time and effort you make to show us these wonderful things. Great job as always!

This really is a beautiful box set, but I have to say that this not going to be a set that is going to be played very much, if at all, as this is a very elaborate box to open. However should I be successful with the Euromillions I may consider buying a copy.. Keep your fingers crossed.. I'm now convinced that those are Star constellations on the inside of the first layer, and that and numerology are going to be the keys to solving the puzzles/mind games..

Beautiful set. Great unboxing video. But I’m happy with the standard 6 cd box to go along with the previous sets. I hope they sell out though to encourage them to continue with more Ultimate sets.

A very interesting concept and packed to the gills with intrigue and nicely produced items. Not sure why the negative comments. It is not something that you have to buy to get the music, so if you like the art of it, then why not? I did get the All Things Must Pass box, and do not regret it, but this one was a little too expensive to justify. For those that did order it, I hope that it provides a lot of enjoyment.
Having recently visited Japan, I did try to order both maps, but it looks like I was too late. If you have any idea of how it may be possible to get them, let me know. There was some sort of expression of interest option for the Liverpool one but I cannot see any option for the Yoko map. I'm in the UK incidentally.
I have ordered the 6CD box and will enjoy the music, I am sure. It was one of the albums I recall buying close to release time, when I first started collecting records under my own steam as a young teenager. The Uncut disc was a good introduction to the set.
Have fun with your cube and hopefully pass on some more of its secrets, when appropriate.

Great video Andrew. Although a born Scouser and avid Lennon fan it would be a dream to have this box but I understand the Lennon estate needs to appeal to different fans with different financial price points. I think Sean is doing great things with his dad's work and look forward to seeing future releases. I'd love to see a documentary style film for the album. It would be great with each release to take a deep dive. Keep up the good work and great to see you rewarded in this way with the box.
I am happy for you... but, for me, this defines the terms theater of the absurd , not to mention bloated excess. After the LP's and CD/blu ray box, which should run , at most around $500.00 for all the music (12 songs in different configurations without including the hidden tracks), it is an extra $800.00 for lots of cardboard, trinkets, paper and narcissistic stuff of nonsense. At least they threw in a UV torch. I just received the gorgeous Jethro Tull "Bursting Out" book box set. 3 CD's, 3 DVD's with high res surround mixes, an hour video "Live At Madison Square Garden" included, a beautiful book full of information, color photos, etc.... for $67.00. Enough said.

i have the “you are here“ badge from the incredible Double Fantasy exhibition in Livepool. I saw that exhibition in 2018 and then in 2019 and only then did I notice that they had free badges there. badges and the “breathe“ card that Yoko gave to John.
I wonder if they were tempted to re-press it under the 'Music For Pleasure' label?

Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford it because it’s really expensive like you said
However, I am thankful that I was able to afford the box with the six CDs and 2 blu-rays
I want to thank you Mr. Dixon for going into detail when describing this big fat cube
Even though I can’t see, I could imagine that it looks very cool and the fact that everything is stored in a Yoko Ono danger box is very neat
It doesn’t really bother me that you could only get the vinyl in this big fat cube because I am mostly a CD buyer and I also want to say thank you to Yoko and Sean because everything else that is in this big fat cube can be bought separately
I will catch you on the next video Mr. Dixon and I send my blessings to you and also to Yoko and Sean and to John, who is in heaven

Great unboxing. Very informative. Would you please do a quick video of how it is put back together? Especially interested in how do you keep the panels up to get the cube back over them. That's four panels that have to be held in place for the outer box to go over.🤔🤔🤔

Fantastic extravagant release for an album that initially John Lennon was fairly blasé about on its first release. I remember him being interviewed for Mind Games and he said something like :- " I haven't got anything significant to say about this album. It's just a bunch of songs. That's what singer/songwriters are supposed to do, isn't it? Make albums..." Thanks very much for showing us this release which a lot of us won't be able to afford!

After the Uber All things must pass it seems the estates of deceased Beatles are now trying to outdo each other , I bought the Uber ( which I now regret) will not buy this or any ridiculous sets

Another fine video. Thank you Andrew. I am a wee bit envious, but good on you. I really don't have the strong desire to own a huge box set like that or the All Things Must Pass one, but I am really glad to see what is inside. I honestly think that the price of the box is truly commensurate with the manufacturing costs for all those reproductions and other tchotchkes. On the opposite side of your Leeds visit which you probably could have written off your taxes as video costs, you may need to talk with the taxman about this box of poetry and declare the pennies.
as a fan I would love to get everything but the cost puts it out of the question. I am working on getting the deluxe box cd set however! Loved the Lennon Liverpool map and when you said it was available seperately, I checked it out only to be sold out. I will continue to see if will come back in stock. Andrew, Thanks for the unboxing ...enjoyed that very much but with conflicting emotions. I did mull over purchasing one when it was announced but chose not too.Now seeing the video I'm probably thankful that I made that choice. It has to be about the music only for me ..... I can't quite by the art argument. .....Its not exactly something to pull of the shelf and quickly put on the turntable. Not quite sure where the Lennon/Harrison camps are going with all the trinkets and oddities that are being peddled with the deluxe editions. I hope that Living in the material world is a standard release without the mega box set.
That might cause me an Issue as its my favourite solo Beatles release........
Blimey looks pretty over the top! I will stick with the 2 cd version, I do like the Mind Games album but I don't think I would play all the extra stuff like the elements mixes...look forward to the remix of the main tracks though. The Uncut cd is fun too

Even though I definitely won’t buy this gorgeous set, this video definitely makes me want to buy the 2LP vinyl : if it’s packaged the same way as in this box, I’m really happy to see poly-lined sleeves ! I hate the inner sleeves that are included in the Imagine and Plastic Ono Band reissues, they have scratched my LPs 😡
