But since God gave us scripture (the Quran) to guide us through life, He gave us the way to deal with certain events and situations.
One of those is murder. Others are thievery, adultery, divorce, drinking, etc.

Obviously, this is an ignorant person. Hashim should have terminated this encounter after the first 2-3. When he then first decides to mention prophet Muhammad (SAW), he should have then certainly walked away.
