Loved the fender vent video, thinking about getting some! Smaller tufts will work better, string compared to yarn, bit harder to visualize real time but with a camera should be able to pick up on the review.
you had me scared about the vents potentially not working lol, I just put them on myself. Nice vid. I am always interested in seeing aero data on a track/race car!
Curious as to what you think about the effectiveness of the Left Lane Design fender vents placement on NA/NB vs what I consider the more traditional approach which is up above the wheel on the fender like you did.
The design seems to be fine, however doesn't solve the reverse flow issue found on the bottom of the quarter panel - only pulling or making another panel that sits more flush to the wheel face would. This might not be as much of a problem on a miata that doesn't use as wide of wheels/tires as we do.
Working on this currently! Initial testing if the front fender pull was positive, so we ran that for a couple events, and are working on the next version at the moment!
Hey, i'm gonna fit some hood vents on a Renault 4 because of overheating issues. Do I understand correctly that they should be installed in low pressure areas and that those area's are the same as the areas with the most detached flow? Greetings from the Netherlands!
Totally missed this: sorry! Low pressure won't be the same as detached flow all the time. These particular vents create the detached flow/drag. Best to put the vents where the difference in pressure, from the top to the bottom of the hood, is the greatest.
This deserves more views!! love it man! keep it up!

They work, but they are not without their downsides. Thanks!

We need follow up on this :) how effective was the fender pull? What is the situation with the rear wheel?
