I LOVE how he prayed first!!
This was a great discussion, I recently just laid my daughter to rest, I'm trying not to shut down, still navigate my marriage, and continue to be a father to my son. This was helpful in the mist of my grieving process. Thank yall
Stay strong
🙏
🙏🏽
Terribly sorry for your loss. I will pray for your healing for you and your family.
Praying for you! Stay strong your family and yourself. You got this!
Love seeing and hearing married black men be vulnerable, positive and mature. Beautiful ❤
Thank you intelligent, articulate, wise Black men❤
Our community needs these safe spaces to grow and heal❤
Shoutout to the Black Woman! We love to be recognized. So many Black men have told us we are not good enough. We thank you for ❤ King!
That's what all you've got from this session?
I respect the aspect of prayer from the men before starting their talk
I appreciate them opening with a prayer. beautiful 0:40
This was really great…Thanks for sharing!! We’re going on 34 years and we’re still working at it day by day and we love it. 🖤
Jackson is speaking the truth! You have to keep it fun and like the person!
Skyh I love his honesty! Him and his wife are definitely soulmates!
Absolutely loved the discussion and multiple perspectives on this thing we call Black love! I could care less what the panelist wore or who they love the message was recieved and my soul fed 🖤
I love this praying before starting!
Love is deeper than “like”; love is unconditional but like is contingent on what is done or not done. When we love deeply, like or liking will flow ; liking is about how someone makes us feel whereas love is selfless and is “other” focused.
Tommy love his flip flop❤❤
Never stop Black Love pleaseeee❤
There's something about when men speak and be vulnerable...it's so powerful. Love this!

I disagree that there are no rule books. God is the author of relationships and so His word the Bible presents excellent relationship guidance. If a marriage is “just between two people” then why are we all here learning from each other? Why go to a counselor etc? The Bible says the older women should teach the younger; marriage is between two people but is blessed by the presence of community and valuable wise connections. It takes a village; God is a God of relationship and community; it’s never just about 2 people even though 2 are married.
3:40 Saying Love is not enough is a bogus statement. And it indicates that Society does not properly define Love. The Biblical definition of Love is below and should be used; not the Secular Definition.
1 Corinthian 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
I agree with you but I don’t think (I could be wrong) Black Love claims to be faith or biblical based. I think that most people’s definition of love is based on the feeling, the fascination, the emotion rather than what the Bible defines as love. If this is what is meant by love then I agree with him (the one that defined love. Sorry I forgot his name. ), it’s not enough and will not sustain any relationship.
@@herspecsTV I hear you. However, I think the Modern Day Concept of Black Love has changed from what it was in the past and should return to it's roots. But, I've noticed that Relationship definitions and characteristics have been shifting for some time now. Such as people:
- settling for Living Together, instead of Marriage.
- Marriage isn't about love; it's a business.
- being faithful only applies to the Woman, but Men can cheat. However, now seems like some Women the think Women should cheat and not Men.
- then actually being faithful is unattractive to some people.
- Love is staying with someone, no matter how much they hurt you.
- Love is always giving someone everything they want, no matter how much it hurts them or others.
- Abuse used to be defined as Physical Violence; now it's not getting everything a person wants out of life; even if it's not really possible.
- Respect is not required; but is still required.
- Struggle Love is normal. Whereas People in the Past used their love to make it through struggles.
But the statement "Love is not enough" leaves the door open to so many things; it's not even funny. But that's just me.... and "what would be enough?" is the next logical question. Then, every person is going to have a different requirement. But in reality, if there's no standard for Love, how can you really define it. So, to me; this is just a Player/Playa statement. And the people that use it will just gain more and more power to manipulate others.
The coolest thing about Love is it's ability to be a noun, verb, and/or state of being. But for it to be reduced to just a feeling hurts society in my opinion; because it makes other forms of love unrecognizable in many regards.
@@herspecsTV Also, Mike Jackson (Purple Suit) is the one that started the conversation with a Prayer to God about the Black Male perspective regarding Black Love. But then he turns around like 2 minutes later and makes the statement about Love not being enough in a relationship.
Society doesn't properly define love they think it's about being selfish and evil
@@whenniceguysretaliate5619very well said !....when he first made that statement, i was like huh ?...love is not enough?...🤔
Love the discussion.
Tommy and Ace fashion choices… let’s do better fellas.
