What a fascinating life! Thank you Mister Peterson for this interview. So much of it was about business and politics (which were extremely eye opening) and yet ultimately ended with transcending the troubles in life by continual self improvement and self renewal.
There are some important lessons implicit in this interview. His dad didn’t have money during the Great Depression but he was smart and worked hard. This guy was intellectually curious and worked hard-white privilege did not make them successful, their hard work and merit did.
Well careful. He had a helluva lot of money to play with in getting going in life. He's intellectually gifted, ambitious and created his own substantive success. He also was a key player in his own downfall. Unquestionably daddy's millions helped make the man. However part of his legacy will be the gift he gave those kids in prison, and his positive attitude that has helped him rebuild his post prison life in a positive way. Another lesser human would be bitter about the downfall and not able to move on in life. He lost many years of life to courts and then prison. That's not nothing as Jordan might say.
My great grandfather was an engineer, he bought new cars in cash and owned an island cottage up in muskoka on Kawagama lake - *during the great depression*, even bought a cottage on land for a place to launch the boat and park the car. Hard work and determination pays off, big time. THINK FOR YOURSELF!
I could have kept listening to Lord Black's recollections for hours. A fascinating man, as is our host Jordan Peterson, who is another man I would like to hear the details of his life to this point.
Trudeau is a communist pawn of the Chinese Maoists. Great conversation and introduction to Conrad Black for myself. I agree Thomas Sowell would be amazing with Jordan. The thing missing from these discussion with incredibly intelligent, talented and successful people are ideas to counter the threats we face on free speech and totalitarian political policies. My life is in order and I'm very appreciative of having been fortunate to have lived during this time of amazing improvements in human comfort, happiness and longevity. However, I feel helpless as an observer without a platform to influence those ignorant of the danger and potential destruction of the very improvements made possible by the system of individual liberty and opportunity they revile. Heartbreaking to think we can't provide actionable ideas to prevent our ultimate slide into tyranny. We need solutions not just perspective on how we arrived at this dangerous time of almost total cultural hypnosis. The level of deceit is only exceeded by the credulity and ignorance of those either afraid to push back of foolish enough to accept the demand to ignore alternate paths. Stadium size events highlighting what it means to be an American laying out our common goals and opportunities. We are the most diverse and least racist country on earth and if we don't start screaming it from the roof tops we may end up without America.

Its really nice to hear things from the perspective of someone on the outside of american politics. This was a nice talk to clean my house too. Thank you Dr.Peterson

That’s a great line. Similar to my experience.
@Guy Fawkes55 My reaction was, is he really going to say what I think he's going to say, hahaha. So much truth in that as well.
Awesome! Cheers from Croatia! ❤❤
My first thought is that ", each has been given a measure of faith and talents. Seems Gd has blessed Conrad's parents with smart and astute children to help the parents. That is what strong foundations are made of. Not like today! And those children went on to change life in many ways and are still having a major influence ; warriors.
Great interview. His wife is also a great writer too. I have always liked Conrad Black.
Absolutely fascinating, particularly his breadth of experience from tutoring fellow inmates in gaol to his knowledge of and relationships with the great and the good. Thanks, Jordan.
Thank you Dr. Peterson. You are the earthly person. All your words help me at the moment.
Thank you for this interview with Mr Black. I am a fan of his and his lovely wife Barbara and found this very inlighnight . Thanks again. Cheers
When I was a kid and TV (the BBC in particular) aimed high, everyone on the box was as serious, eloquent and interesting as Conrad Black. Now I'm old enough to appreciate/enjoy that sort of thing it only exists on CZcams.
* I mean serious as in a serious businessman, not serious as in dour, although that might be true too.
I’ve been wishing and hoping this conversation would happen. Can’t wait to dig into it!
Okay I dug into it and loved it.
I’m now dying die Part 2. I REALLY want to hear CB’s insights on JPs assessment of the current derangement shining his deep knowledge of political history on the subject as only a very few can.
Commendations to JP for allowing his guest to do most of the talking,.. We love you JP - and appreciate what you do,. and we love hearing your guests,.. Cheers.
Pure manna. I so appreciate the stories, the verbiage, and insights. Thank-you!
Grateful for all these pods, and the frequency. Would love to hear how these figures interpret the issues of the day (in particular Conrad Black) But always grateful for JP's interpretations of the news, which in his defense and to his credit he does provide often.
Would love to see a conversation with JP and Thomas Sowell. Lets make it happen 👇
What a fascinating life! Thank you Mister Peterson for this interview. So much of it was about business and politics (which were extremely eye opening) and yet ultimately ended with transcending the troubles in life by continual self improvement and self renewal.
Listened on podcast and really enjoyed listening to this man, hope you have him on again.
Starting chapter V of 12 More Rules. Thought prevoking and informative. Happy Independence Day America 🇺🇲🎉
Fascinating interview. Learning of LCB's life was truly delightful.
Very much enjoyed this interview! Lord Black is so interesting! 🥰 Love Dr. Peterson!
Love Conrad Black. Excellent interview. Thank you Jordan Peterson.
It's always great to learn from the life of others. Their stories, testimonies, and experiences 😊
I could have kept listening to Lord Black's recollections for hours. A fascinating man, as is our host Jordan Peterson, who is another man I would like to hear the details of his life to this point.
Fabulous interview of an extremely interesting gentleman, Lord Conrad Black. Thank you Jordan Peterson for creating and sharing this.
Reminds me--my top two dream guests are Lord Christopher Monckton and Dr. David Berlinski. God bless Jordan Peterson
A great interview, both brilliant men, fascinating story
Great discussion. Lord Conrad Black has led one helluva life. Brilliant writer.
Thanks for allowing your guest the space to respond in his own time without interrupting. :-)
I would have liked to have heard Conrad discuss the political climate of Canada right now. Wish you had to have touched on that Jordan.
Trudeau is a communist pawn of the Chinese Maoists. His corrupt father set Canada on a path of destruction through laying the groundwork for Canada being colonized by third world parasites who had destroyed thoroughly their countries through 2-3 millennium of corruption, sexism, rape, poverty, religion and stupidity.
Anything else you want to know ?
@@rogerc23 Nice
@@rogerc23 The CCP is in itself a Pawn of the Globalist/ Deep State/ Cabal who sought to use China and totalitarianism to infiltrate all strata of Western-European nations with the goal of a complete takeover of these nations thru the use of a bioengineered weapon that would lead to destruction of nation states economies, individual will, and ultimately depopulation. So everyone remember that GQ interview? Well, GQ deleted the top comment with 39K likes which stated "I can’t wait not to buy her book." The comments are now spamming this comment. Ain't life grand?
Thanks for the tip
Hey JP fans...Im looking for an accomplished singer/acoustic guitar player with a folk/soft rock style to cover a fully completed and formed song dedicated to Jordans 12 Rules books and philosophies. The song is called 'The Voice Inside'
If you think you might be able to help let me know here, and we'll arrange contact! Thanks,

This was a great listen. I always like what Conrad Black has to say and this was no exception. Don’t wait 2 years to do it again.
Wonderful interview! I confess, I knew nothing of this gentleman and found him extremely articulate and fascinating. It was a history lesson unto itself!
ps ~ Sidebar: It would be interesting for JBP to interview American historian, Victor Davies Hansen.
Yes!
Good call
Fascinating interview. No interruptions from JBP this time :-)
Wonderful interview. Amazing to listen to someone who is intelligent and learned along with humble. I am glad I took the time to listen in.
I appreciate Peterson inviting and interviewing a controversial personality as Conrad Black.
For MSM, anyone with a voice or a follwing on the right is controversial.
@@1bizkid Black served 3 years for fraud and tax evasion. Anyone else not so well connected would still be behind bars.
Only in Canada(Justin Era not withstanding) would this man be contraversial...😁
Thanks for indulging Conrad in his analysis of Thatcher.
Inspirational - two great men having a purposeful conversation, thank you
Black sells himself short. He has embraced the wisdom that comes with age. Not only has he led an interesting and admirable life, but he has a way of putting it all in perspective. His opinions are, without exception, well-thought-out.
I was glued to this and eagerly await another.
I am not a fan of Mr. Black's political leanings, or the thoughts he exposes, however I've always thought that he had an intellect that deserved respect.
Thank you Dr. Peterson it was a great discussion.

What a great time to listen to you and your perspective lord Black
Extremely interesting interview with one of the truly consequential men of our times by another of similar standing.
His columns in American Greatness are fascinating and insightful. Highly recommend.
I love listening to Conrad Black, subsequently to reevaluating media dogmas and spells they had me under regarding a myriad of issues including about how evil Conrad Black was. It's no surprise to me now why they'd falsely paint him with that brush, as they did to Jordan Peterson
You're too rare a person. More people need to investigate what they're told by big groups especially when it comes to running down people that were or are successful. If a man is successful he must be, what's today's chosen word, an oppressor? So wrong in so many cases.
What a great interview, Jordan! Lord Black comes across as a very decent man.
Fantastic, this is how interviews should be done. 2 great forthright men, both always welcome in Britain.
