Trying to install the compression screw, and it literally feels like I'm doing both. As I'm turning the compression key, it feels like I'm tightening it, and then it goes completely loose like I just undid it.
I know this is an old post but maybe someone can help me out. I bought this Ethic complete and my bars are not going on like his did in this vid. When I slam my bars on the fork like he does, they don't go down all the way to the headset. There is a gap between the bar/clamp and headset so everything is loose. I can slide my bar clamp down to the headset to keep it all tight but that seems wrong. Anybody know what the heck I'm doing wrong?
@@DylFilms Yeah dude! It's installed and tight. Thanks for the thought! I can see through the bar clamp and slit in the bars that the bars and fork are touching so they can't go down anymore, it seems.
Ok, I figured it out! The part inside the bars that the bolt screws into was not put together properly so I had to screw in the compression bolt and then hit it with a bf hammer to knock that part farther into the bars. Now everything fits nicely! My feeling on this is that Ethic's quality control department needs to get their s together.
they run ICS compression (internal compression system) it was meant to be in the bars , just the way the old scooters were made before all the ihc and scs and his come out

Ok but if i make it too tight the bars dont turn but if its just right the bars shake around

Hey mate, have you done the compression ICS bolt up that goes up into the forks if that is not tight or screwed in all the way your bars wont go down
