Unhauls have been running my life lately and the feeling of out with the old has been refreshing and all my subscriptions are unhauling this week. I LOVE IT!!!
I've dropped down to one sub I really love and it's refreshing to not manage three and free up money for books I want outside of them and not feeling guilty about unhauling special editions since they're premium cost.
For some reason i love to watch unhauls so much more than hauls and unboxings 😅 🐉 (by the way i love priory but like... if you didn't like it there's no point in keeping it, toss it out and don't feel bad lmao)
I actually loved how Priory of the Orange Tree ended. To me the point of the book was watching all these different people come together past their differences. I didn't want or need some epic boss fight. But I also get that if you are not really invested in the different characters and the world, not having a big impactfull finale will sour the book for you.
I added some of these to my TBR. I love unhauls because I always find something else that intrigues me. Thanks for sharing these. 🐉BTW, I’m running to buy The Immortality Thief. I love the premise.
YES!!! I LOVE how much you hate priory of the orange tree! I get mad about this book so often, and I always get so much pushback on it! A waste with a RANDOM twist 🐉
I hated that book, it skipped every interesting plot opportunity. And I still laugh at how everyone was so hyped about it being a standalone and now there is a prequel. Let standalone be standalones!
@@encyclopediaofelizabeth it really did!! Everything interesting and everyONE interesting was either under utilized or killed off 💀 and I’m hearing the prequel is pretty much a repeat.
@JadeJuniiper I'm sad about the prequel because it involves a volcano to my knowledge and I go hard for volcanoes, but I won't even put myself through it. Not worth it.
I’m glad I’m not the only person that hated Priory of the Orange tree. I’m definitely in minority here but I recently unhauled my two sets of Roots of chaos. Yes I bought two editions from BB and IL being sure I would love it and just got both of them out of my house! They are stunning but they were taking up prime real estate on my shelves and I decided to sell them. It felt good

I’ll just be moving on from her as an author, as it also bugs me that she wrote two completely different books, and revised her old books but couldn’t put out the next book in her ongoing series from 10 years ago
Always love a satisfying unhaul! Also love that you were ruthless with your special editions. I have a hard time saying goodbyes to them myself, but it’s always nice knowing they’ll go to homes where they are loved more 🐉
🐉i am actually glad you hated priory because now i'm convinced i can't get rid of my copy lololol. i tried to read it when it first came out and it put me into the biggest reading slump, so i give up about 100 pages in. 🤣 now i feel like i don't need to give it another shot
I’m still floored I unhauled 207 last month. I just hauled another 8 books and I’m about to do a version of your shelve it or scrap it to get them to fit on my shelves.
I do agree with Divine Rivals that there wasn’t enough fantasy and historical elements to consider it so. It was mostly romance. I plan on attempting Ruthless Vows to see if any of that improves.

I felt the same way with Divine Rivals. I liked the romance but the Fantasy part of it just felt off for me and was part of the reason I struggled to get into the book. Once I got to the halfway point then I started to enjoy the book. I feel like the only reason there was Fantasy tied in was so the magical typewriters would make sense. Otherwise the somewhat magical buildings, etc just didn't really make sense or have much meaning in the story.
The fact that you don’t like Christmas Romance makes me so sad! But I get the sentiment… have you ever read Lovelight Farms? It’s the only Christmas romance I’ve liked, it was done beautifully

I have been desperate for that divine rivals edition for months but people resell for such absurd amounts it's painful! 😂 so if you want to sell it I'm happy to pay over the costs 😊(just not the insane eBay ones!) ❤
The Intimacy Experiment is SO BAD but The Roommate was fantastic. I preordered The Intimacy Experiment because of how much I enjoyed the first and nearly cried in frustration with how bad it ended up being I have a 3 strike system for authors, 3 less than stellar books and I won't try anything else from them, and I actually gave Rosie Danan 2 strikes just for that one book (I think The Roommate has too much smut for your tastes anyway, but it is vastly better)

While I love the Scholomance trilogy, I totally understand why other people don't. Glad you're able to pass off the books that aren't serving you!
