GBO2 Modified Rick Dijeh: So good it's getting nerfs?!

  • This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed LV2 Modified Rick Dijeh on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 600-650 cost raid with incredible melee damage, a shotgun with the stagger value of the Efreet shotgun but with 300m range, high mobility and good durability. It is lacking in midrange DPS and is fairly large, but its busted shotgun lets it still keep up stuns at midrange just fine. This suit was recently buffed to have +1500 HP, more melee modifier, three melee swings, reduced beam saber swap time and a new shrapnel bazooka sub weapon with practically the same stats as the Efreet shotgun but with 300m range. It is a ridiculously powerful suits that the developers have already announced nerfs for. I hope that you enjoy watching!
    Its primary weapon at LV2 is a beam rifle with 2520 power, 4 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 355m range and 10% stagger value. This isn't super great on its own but the power is alright and it can easily be chained into from your shotgun for two easy staggers.
    Its primary melee weapon at LV2 is a beam naginata with 2467 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 80% side swing modifier and 145% downswing modifier. The power seems low at first but the high downswing modifier means that downswings from this weapon are the same damage as downswings from a 2750 power melee weapon. The fast swap speed and quick animation makes this ideal as a combo starter against enemies with dodge rolls.
    Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 100 power, 80 ammo, 600 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 950 DPS and 4% stagger value. These are solid as far as vulcans go with decent DPS and an acceptable 2.5 seconds to stagger. They are best saved to finish off enemies though, considering the power of your shotgun.
    Its second sub weapon is a clay bazooka shotgun with 200x15 power, 4 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 1 second swap time, 300m range and 35%x15 stagger value. This is an absolutely ridiculous weapon that apart from having one seconds longer cooldown, is a complete upgrade to the notorious Efreet shotgun. The 300m range means that even far away enemies are at risk, letting you easily shoot down flying/transforming suits at any range. It also easily counters Maneuver Armor/Shock Dampeners.
    Its third sub weapons are two beam sabers with 2950 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 80%/64% combo modifier. These have both high power and high combo modifier which means that they can do gigantic damage if you can get 2-3 swings off. These are the ideal combo starter against enemies without dodge rolls, but the fast swap time means it isn't hard to confirm against enemies with dodge rolls as well.
    The LV1 Modified Rick Dijeh has 23500 HP, 20 ballistic resist, 22 beam resist and 30 melee resist. This is really bulky for a 650 cost raid, making it hard to take down. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion as normal, but also benefits from LV3 Maneuver Armor. LV2 Leg Buffer and LV3 Back Buffer further improves the impressive durability.
    It also has 135 walk speed, 230 boost speed, 75 thrust and 72 turning speed. This is among the highest mobility of all the 600-650 cost raids and it also gets the standard LV2 Forced Injectors and LV2 Flight Control to go along with it. Mobility technically becomes even higher with LV2 EX Boost, which grants infinite thrust (ends sooner if tackling or dodging) +15 boost speed and +19 turning speed for 15 seconds upon pressing the touchpad. After which your thrusters are overheated for 21 seconds. This is ridiculously situational and only really useful so that you can pull off a last resort counter tackle.
    It also gets the same tackle skills as GM III Powered with LV1 Instant Thruster Precision, LV5 Enhanced Tackle and LV1 Interrupt Tackle. Though this doesn't suit the playstyle of a massive 600-650 raid at all, you don't gain any extra damage by working tackles into your combos.
    Overall I think that the Modified Rick Dijeh is pretty overpowered right now, basically being capable of taking on even the strongest 600-650 generals head on without issue. The suit getting a gigantic buff like this is basically a symptom of powercreep and power inflation. Overpowered generals like Atlas Gundam, MP ZZ Gundam and Xeku Zwei all create an environment where properly balanced raids cannot exist, thus creating this situation where an already solid raid like Modified Rick Dijeh is buffed into an absolute monster to compensate. It of course deserves nerfs but 600 and 650 cost are still broken unless the generals I mentioned above see proper nerfs. The developers said that the shrapnel bazooka of Mod Dijeh will be getting nerfed in mid-July, so play it before then if you wanna try it out. Thanks for watching!

    I was very surprised when this suit got buffs in the first place. It was already extremely strong, and probably my favorite raid at cost.
    It's normally just a very good suit but vs Delta Gundam especially it eats that poor thing alive.
    Amazing suit in space where it can take full advantage of it's insane speed.

      Maybe reducing damage from the same player? But damage given from other player is similar until they get reduced to
      How does that count though? In 1v1 its possible, 6v6 sounds like nightmare to handle that calculators & the net is already janky as it is

    ngl, suit was already solid and needed very minuscule buffs. i was surprised reading the patch notes that they even touched the shrapnel

      On console it is excellent. There are some issues like poor balance for some costs and the disconnect penalty being harsh, but otherwise it is very fun. PC has these same issues, but it also has issues with cheaters. I have only seen one cheater in my time on PC so far so it isn't that much of a problem.

    I Think Ricdijehkai' s bazooka is broke because it can shoot 300 m it is cazy, i think it take nelf range to shoot or worse case ,he take back dijech bazooka

      Damage increase, melee range & priority increase during HADES & another melee weapon
      Give it phenex downswing beam saber during HADES
      Its a cool suit, but as it is, qubelley is far better at cycling weapon cooldown

    good that thing needs the nerfs, he can still pretty much kill a general in under a few seconds without a break
