In this video we review the Leatt X-Frame knee guards/braces and tell you why it's worth the $450 to buy a pair. We also show you how to install the complicated strap system so that you don't struggle like I did when it's time to replace the straps.
Over two years of use, I've found these braces super useful in keeping my knees from being destroyed when I fall off the bike. The one downside is the straps wear out quickly. Fortunately, you can grab replacement straps for a few bucks and with our help, they're easy to install on your knee braces.

Thank you for the review. I share the same appreciation for these knee guards. Been using them for 2 years now and they have saved my knees on several occasions..
I was frustrated by the deteriorating velcros but I found a way around the problem before having to change them.
I do not use the velcros at all. There are plastic side buckles for quick release on the two meddle straps.
And the great thing (well at least for my legs) is that I can use only the inner buckle for the strap No1 [second from bottom] to release the strap and off slides the whole guard.
All of the straps are set for a comfortable and snug fit. No compromises there. I think that strap No1 is the only one holding the guard from sliding down before you step into the boots. The rest are more or less to hold it tight to the leg.

I can't find x-frame velcro straps. Please, where did you get yours? How much. Do you know if anyone makes an aftermarket non-velcro connector like you find on some helmets. Sorry, lot of questions.😊
